Chase DoorDash Benefits

Many Chase credit cards come with DoorDash benefits. With eligible Chase cards, you get a complimentary DoorDash DashPass subscription for 12 months and a monthly $5-$10 credit to use towards certain DoorDash purchases. Like the Chase Instacart credits, these DoorDash benefits can help offset your card's annual fees. But only if you're aware of them and remember to use them.

These DoorDash benefits can be complicated, and that's kind of the point. Banks are betting you'll forget to use them or find that it's not worth the effort. We get plenty of messages from ToP members confused about how to take advantage of their Chases DoorDash credits. So we put together this guide to demystify these DoorDash benefits. Read on for a list of which Chase cards off DoorDash benefits, you to use them and tips for how to maximize them.

  • $10 off each calendar month on a single Door Dash non-restaurant order including groceries, beauty, electronics and more.

Chase Sapphire Reserve and Sapphire Reserve for Business

Here are the Chase DoorDash benefits you get with the Chase Sapphire Reserve and Sapphire Reserve for Business cards:

  • $5 off each calendar month at checkout on restaurant orders on DoorDash
  • $10 off twice monthly on a single single DoorDash non-restaurant order including groceries, beauty, electronics and more.

Chase Ink Business Preferred

Here are the DoorDash benefits you get with the Chase Ink Business Preferred card:

  • Free 12-month DoorDash DashPass membership. You have until December 31, 2027 to activate this benefit.
  • $10 off each calendar month on a single DoorDash non-restaurant order including groceries, beauty, electronics and more.

Chase co-branded cards

Chase has also added DoorDash benefits to many of its co-branded airline and hotel credit cards. Cardmembers get a one-year complimentary DashPass membership for both and $10 off quarterly on non-restaurant DoorDash orders.

Here's are the Chase co-branded cards that offer these DoorDash benefits, per a Chase spokesperson:

What Is DashPass?

DashPass is DoorDash's monthly subscription service. With it, you get $0 delivery fees and reduced service fees on eligible orders. Members also enjoy additional perks like 5% back on pickup orders, discounted Lyft rides when you link your account and exclusive monthly deals.

DashPass benefits apply on both DoorDash and Caviar—another food delivery app owned by DoorDash.

How To Use Your Chase Card DoorDash Benefits

Perks like these DoorDash credits can help offset the annual fee of travel rewards credit cards. But they're only valuable if you actually remember to use them.

To start, you'll first need to sign up for a free DoorDash account. Add your eligible Chase card as the default payment on DoorDash (or Caviar), then click the button to activate your complimentary DashPass membership.

Or, you can log into your Chase account and head to the Benefits page to activate your DashPass subscription that way.

After activating your offer, you'll immediately get 12 months of complimentary DashPass and the monthly credits added to your account. Set a renewal reminder to you don't get charged once your complimentary subscription ends. The monthly credits will be added to your account each month. But they won't be automatically applied to eligible orders: You have to remember to toggle on the discount at checkout.

Applying Chase $10 credit on a DoorDash order

With the Chase DoorDash monthly credits, there are a few things to keep in mind:

  • The monthly (or quarterly)$5-$10 credits can only be redeemed on a single order. If you don't use up the full value on one order, you'll forfeit the remaining amount. Keep in mind these credits are only applied to the subtotal, not any taxes and fees.
  • You must use your eligible Chase card for any monthly DoorDash credits and DashPass benefits to kick in.
  • These are use-it-or-lose-it benefits. If you don't place a DoorDash order one month, those credits won't roll over to the next month.
  • You'll only receive the monthly credits while you have an active DashPass subscription. So if you cancel it after your 12 months are up, they will no longer be added to your account.
  • For the Sapphire Reserve and Sapphire Reserve for Business two monthly $10 non-restaurant order credits, the second monthly credit will be added to your account once you have redeemed the first one.

You have until December 31, 2027 to activate your Chase DoorDash credits.

Tips To Maximize Your Chase DoorDash Credits

These DoorDash benefits are better than nothing. But what if you have multiple Chase cards with these credits? Unfortunately, these credits do not stack. Instead, you'll have to make a separate DoorDash account and use your other eligible Chase card as the default payment option to take advantage if you have multiple monthly DoorDash credits available to you.

Here's another tip from savvy ToP members: Select pickup as an option, when available. You'll save on some of the service fees and avoid having to pay a tip. It's a sneaky way to squeeze even more value out of these paltry credits. Search the map to see pickup options near you. Many gas stations and convenience stores offer pickup and can be a great way to easily use up that $10 non-restaurant order credit on snacks or other items.

Don't forget about your P2. Authorized users on many these Chase credit cards also get these DoorDash benefits. That's another $5-$10 in DoorDash credits each month.

Another tip to easily use up multiple monthly DoorDash credits: Place back to back orders. Several ToP members report they will place a DoorDash order with one account, pick it up, then immediately place another while still in the store to save themselves a trip. If you have the Sapphire Reserve (or Sapphire Reserve for Business), you can do the same with your two monthly $10 credits. Once the first order is complete, the second one will appear in your account and you can use it for a second order.

Chase DoorDash Benefits: ToP Thoughts

Perks like these DoorDash benefits are hardly a reason to pick up a Chase card, but saving $5-$10 on your next order is better than nothing. The banks don't make it easy to use these credits, but understanding how they work is the key to making the most out of them. If you have a Chase card in your wallet, make sure you aren't missing out on this perk!
