How To Use Paze For +10X Chase Ultimate Rewards

Paze is the talk of the town. Since quietly rolling out on select Chase credit cards last month, it might be this year's most viral new benefit. Cardmembers have gone absolutely nuts over the potential to earn lots of points on eligible purchases. Let's take a look at how to use Paze for +10x Chase Ultimate Rewards, including how to setup your account, which cards you can pair it with, how many points you can earn and other frequently asked questions.

What is Paze?

Paze is a digital wallet. It functions similarly to PayPal, providing a way to securely checkout without giving an online vendor your credit card information. Paze is not yet broadly available to use with all credit cards (or online stores, for that matter) but it has already partnered with Bank of America, Capital One, Chase, Citi, Wells Fargo and others. (Find the full list of participating banks here.) Among the partner banks, Chase is the one running this new promotion, so we'll focus on how to use Paze for +10X Chase Ultimate Rewards.

+10X Earning: How Many Chase Points You Can Collect With Paze

Most bonus categories on Ultimate Rewards-earning Chase cards earn between 3-5X (or otherwise require travel portal booking). Considering how coveted and popular 5X multipliers already are, the chance to earn +10X is truly next level. When learning how to use Paze for +10X Chase Ultimate Rewards, note that the benefit is available:

  • Now through Dec. 31, 2026
  • On up to $1,500 in purchases per month (for a total of up to 15,000 additional points monthly). And it's offered per eligible card.
    • For example: If you have 5 eligible cards and you max out the benefit each month, you'll earn an additional 75,000 points per month.

Why This Benefit Is Really +10X

Because the 10 bonus points are on ToP of the bonus earnings you'd already get on a card, there's really a potential to earn between 11-14 points on purchases. If you purchase a United flight on a card that already earns 4X on flights, your earnings will amount to 14X. If you purchase from Sephora or NewEgg on a card that earns 1X on everyday purchases, you'll actually earn 11X points for that purchase.

Stacking Opportunities

We love a good stack. One of the most exciting things about the Paze benefit is the ability to stack it with other offers, including Chase card offers, shopping portals like Rakuten, Rove, Capital One Offers, Capital One Shopping and more. That's part of why StubHub has been such a popular option for Chase Sapphire Reserve cardholders using their annual $300 StubHub credits.

Which Merchants Offer Paze Checkout?

When figuring out how to use Paze for +10X Chase Ultimate Rewards, start by looking at the list of retailers that utilize Paze. • Broadway.com
  • City Experiences
  • Domino's

One of the most discussed Paze options so far has been Newegg, a computer hardware and electronics store that also sells gift cards for a ton of merchants. Think: Disney, Airbnb, DoorDash and even various airlines and cruise lines. We've seen people purchase gift cards for Southwest Airlines or Delta Air Lines in an effort to earn the 10X bonus points for future cash flights.

While this earning opportunity can feel exciting because it opens to the door to so many more merchants, consider a few caveats. Newegg gift cards can be hit-or-miss: Delivery can be slow, popular cards regularly sell out, and gift card orders can sometimes even be canceled afterward. You can also often find better gift card deals elsewhere, so make sure there aren't discounted gift cards available before buying one from Newegg. Lastly, we generally caution purchasing gift cards during any kind of welcome offer period with a bank. Organic spending is the best practice for new cards and for maintaining a longterm, healthy relationship with the bank.

Which Chase Cards Offer The Paze +10X Benefit?

While there are several banks and cards you can link to your Paze account, only a select few are currently eligible for the +10X Chase Ultimate Rewards benefit. Currently, it is only available on these select personal cards (no business cards) through Dec. 31, 2026:

The next page will show a list of your cards that can be linked. You'll see that mine shows several, including some that are not eligible for +10X earning like my cards for Marriott, Southwest and Hyatt. That is because many cards can be used for Paze, but they don't all have the +10X benefit. Once you have activated Paze on your cards, you can use Paze to shop at eligible vendors. Your cards should show up when you enter your Chase-associated email at checkout.

On the next screen, select the card you want to use. Consider if the card you're paying with might have an extra multiplier you can stack. For this United purchase, I opted to use my Chase Sapphire Reserve card so I could get an additional 4X points. After you've selected your card, click “Continue to review order.” It will bring you back to the merchant's checkout page to complete your purchase.

What If You Don't See Paze As A Payment Option?

Since Paze is a newer addition for some merchants, it may not be fully integrated into their apps and/or websites. When I tried to checkout on StubHub's app, for example, I could not get Paze to show as a checkout option. I even deleted and reinstalled then app, and it still didn't appear. But when I loaded StubHub's website and reviewed my cart, Paze worked there. It may be worth trying different devices, browsers and apps until you find a checkout method that works for you. And if you can't get it to work at all, you could try reporting your issue to that vendor.

What To Do If Paze Isn't Working For Your Cards

It is a known issue that some otherwise eligible users are currently unable to connect their cards with Paze. Even one of our own ToP team members cannot get it to work with their account.

We've seen reports that some users have had luck after deleting the Chase app, restarting their phones, reinstalling the app and trying to link their cards again. YMMV. If Paze isn't working for you, you can report the technological error by calling the number on the back of your card and speaking with the bank's support team. Hopefully, we will see a fix for this soon, so all eligible cardholders can use Paze for +10X Chase Ultimate Rewards.
