Staples Luggage Sale
For the next few days, there is a pretty amazing Staples luggage sale going on that I took advantage of for my son's birthday. The deal gives you an astonishing 100% back in Staples points on your purchase. You can pair this deal up with a shopping portal for even more savings. Then use a card that earns bonus points at office supply stores, or maybe even your Amex Gold Business $20 monthly credit to really stack the deals. Update 10/12/25 – This deal has been extended for in store only purchases until 10/18/25.

You can stack this deal with a shopping portal to juice up the earnings more. Rakuten was at 10x when I made my purchase. That will bring me another 1,600 points. If you don't have a Rakuten account already then that could be up to 2,500 points / $25 from the purchase, plus a $50 / 5,000 point new member bonus. Too bad the Bilt Rewards partnership isn't live yet.

- Limit of $250 spend on luggage.
- Offer available to Staples Easy Rewards™ member only.
- To be eligible for the offer, member must activate offer in their Easy Rewards dashboard on staples.com or Staples mobile app and provide membership number at checkout.
- Points will be earned on the purchase amount paid at checkout after application of all promotions, coupons, instant savings and point redemptions.
- Taxes and shipping are not included in calculating the total purchase amount.
- May be used up to once per week per Staples Easy Rewards member within the promotional period, nontransferable.

It looks like the Staples rewards hit your account around 2 days after the purchase is made in store, or after the order ships if ordered online. The points are good for 18 months without any activity. Once again, remember to activate the offer before making your purchase.
Staples Luggage Sale: ToP Thoughts
I purchased a Samsonite carry-on bag for my son for around $160. It looks like the price is around $130 on Samsonite's own site, with the sales they have going on. I guess you could say I am not getting 100% back because of it. My plan is to buy an external hard drive my son wants for Christmas with my points. That is the real crux of this offer though, do you have a plan for the Staples rewards? They do sell paper towels, toilet paper, laundry detergent and cleaning supplies etc. Make sure to price match anything you plan to buy since they can be overpriced. As long as you have a need for luggage, and a use for the Staples rewards, this can be a great deal. Throw in some portal cash back and credit card earnings on to of that to really get cooking.
