Credit Card Expedited Shipping

One question we receive all the time is: what credit card can I get with expedited shipping? For one reason or another, you need a card fast. I'm talking blazing fast, faster than the Concorde reaching supersonic speed. OK, maybe not that fast, but you get the point. If you have ever had a card replaced you know that waiting for the new one can take quite a while. Or perhaps you are working on a new welcome offer and are raring to go on that minimum spend requirement. Either way, it can take some time, unless you are able to ask for an expedited card. In this guide, we will break down the list of card issuers that offer expedited shipping so you can plan how to get a new card in your wallet in a jiffy!

Which Banks Offer Expedited Shipping?

Thankfully, there are many banks that do offer credit cards with expedited shipping. Some will do so for a fee, or only for a replacement (as opposed to new card). Either way, we will break it down with all of the details below.

New Card Shipping Policies For Each Bank

Here I will break down the credit card expeditated shipping policies for each major bank.

American Express

Quick Hit: American Express will expedite shipping for uber premium cards automatically and will offer it for replacement cards. Other cards require a fee.

American Express will expedite replacement cards for all cards if you request. For new cards, premium cards such as the Platinum or Business Platinum will received expedited shipping automatically. The Gold cards also used to receive similar treatment. However, recently I have seen some instances of Gold cards being sent slow-boat. For any other cards (including the Gold or Business Gold): you can call and request the new card be expedited.

Amex charges a fee for online expedited requests for all cards other than the Platinum. It may be possible to work around this by calling. Your mileage may vary by agent. You may need to hang up call again, if the answer is not satisfactory.

Credit Card Expedited Shipping

Bank Of America

Quit Hit: It is possible to get expedited shipping with Bank of America, but you need to request it. That may require a fee.

The downside to Bank of America is they do not automatically expedite their new credit cards, even for the premium ones. The good news is that it is possible, but you will need to reach out after approval and request it. They may charge a fee to do so as well. It will be dependent on your rep and possibly which credit card it is for.

Barclay Card

Quick Hit: It is possible to get expedited shipping with Barclays, but you need to request it. That may require a fee.

Similar to Bank of America, you can expedite your new Barclays credit card but you will need to proactively reach out. They may also charge a fee to do so, it will be on a case by case basis.

Capital One

Quick Hit: Some premium cards will get it automatically, but not always. It is possible to request it but not every rep is able and willing.

Some cards, such as the Capital One Venture X and Venture Business X are sent with expedited shipping. However, it is inconsistent. You can request expedited shipping, but many representatives are unwilling or unable to process it. You may need to hang up and call again several times. Whether or not this is worth the effort and frustration will depend on how urgent your need is.

Chase

Quick Hit: Any Chase card can receive expedited shipping upon request.

Chase offers one of the best set ups for getting your new credit card promptly. They allow any card to be expedited, by request. This service is free and can be requested by calling or secure messaging. This applies to new cards and replacements.

Credit Card Expedited Shipping

Citi

Quick Hit: Expediting Citi credit cards is not possible without being creative

Citi will not expedite new issuances of cards. However, you can call and get a representative to process a replacement of the new card. You will receive both the expedited replacement and the slow boat card. There is no fee for this.

US Bank

Quick Hit: Some cards are automatically expedited with U.S. Bank and others require a request. There can be a fee involved.

U.S. Bank will expedite the Altitude Reserve card. For their other cards, they may be able to expedite depending on the representative. If they are able and willing they will likely charge an up to $10 fee to do so.

Wells Fargo

Quick Hit: It is possible to expedite personal cards with Wells Fargo upon request with a fee. Business cards are less likely.

Expedited shipping may be available with Wells Fargo upon request, but it comes with a fee of $16. Business cards are usually not able to receive expedited shipping.
