15% Off IHG Award Stays

There is a new 15% off IHG awards stays promotion that many people will find of interest. It looks like IHG credit cardholders are getting emails for early access. I am not sure if all IHG One members will get the offer eventually or if this is just for cardholders, like Hyatt has done in the past. The email says cardholders get early access but the terms make it seem like it is only for cardholders. Hopefully everyone gets a chance at this in a day or two.

Details for the IHG Award Stays Sale

Here are the details for the offer. Notice the timeline so you don't mess up and cost yourself some points.

Get a 15% discount off the number of points needed for an award stay.
- If using Points & Cash, the 15% discount will be applied to the cash portion of each available option.
The reward nights must be booked by September 16, 2023.
The stay needs to occur between September 12, 2023 and October 26, 2023 to qualify for the offer.
The Offer is not available to use along with the “Fourth Reward Night Free” cardmember benefit when booking a stay of four (4) or more consecutive Reward Nights.
The Offer will be applied for eligible cardmembers booking three (3) or fewer consecutive Reward Nights.

15% Off IHG Award Stays: ToP Thoughts

What I am not sure is if this discount helps with free night certificates or not. I know it has in the past, but I don't have one in my account to check it. With other promotions if the 15% discount dropped it below 40K a night then a certificate was now available for use. I am seeing discounted award prices on my searches during the time frame so it is already live.

If you have a stay already planned during the promotion it is worth checking your reservation to see if the price has dropped with this promotion. You may want to check future travel booked with other brands to see if this deal makes IHG the better choice now.
