How Do You Redeem Bilt Cash

The day we have been waiting for since the new Bilt credit card launch (and reboot) is finally here. The day where we have been told what Bilt Cash can actually be used for. I had high hopes for this program, but I think they mostly missed the mark here. The company that promised they were the anti coupon book just threw 1,000 pounds of coupon spaghetti at the wall – and most of it didn't stick. They took a program (Bilt Cash) that people already found confusing, and somehow made it more confusing. So, how do you redeem Bilt Cash, and what can it actually be used for? Let's take a look.

How Do You Earn Bilt Cash

You can earn Bilt Cash in a few different ways. The most likely way people will rack up most of their Bilt Cash is by using a Bilt credit card. All three variations of their new cards will earn 4% in Bilt Cash for every dollar spent on eligible purchases. That is in addition to whatever Bilt Rewards you would earn for each purchase with your Bilt card.

Well, that is if you choose option A at least – and want to earn Bilt Cash. If you choose option B, and just go after rent & mortgage payments, then your credit card spend will not earn Bilt Cash. Confused yet? Buckle up – we are just getting started!

You will also earn $200 in Bilt cash each year for holding the Bilt Palladium card. The last way to rack up Bilt Cash, outside of one off promotions etc., is by reaching a 25,000 point status milestone. Instead of earning milestone rewards you will now get $50 in Bilt Cash at each stop on the status ladder.

What Can You Redeem Bilt Cash For?

I was excited for the possibilities of Bilt Cash. I looked at it as a chance to discount my everyday living in addition to earning valuable Bilt Rewards points. After seeing what redemption options I have I am less enthusiastic. Much less enthusiastic. That is because they just took a huge dose of steroids to the Amex Platinum coupon playbook but labeled it differently. There are so many different redemption options (most of which are worthless), and they all come with some kind of annoying cap.

To do that on a currency you made up, AND that you have expire every year, is ludicrous. You would have been better off just giving people credits on their cards. It would have been easier to follow, and the implementation would have likely been much smoother. Giving too many options (mostly bad options at that) just adds confusion to this already confounding apple pie.

Let's take a look at what coupons the Bilt coupon book maker has in store with us. I'll share what Bilt gives for each option, and then I'll share my thoughts about it.

Beginning February 1, 2026, members can redeem Bilt Cash seamlessly on eligible purchases at checkout in the Bilt app or on bilt.com.

How Do You Redeem Bilt Cash

Dining and Groceries

$120 / year towards grocery or restaurant delivery (fulfilled via GrubHub)
  • Redeem toward restaurant and grocery delivery fulfilled by GrubHub; $10 credit each month; Available 3/1/26

This is just like the $10 Grubhub credit on the AAdvantage Executive card, but I am guessing you will need to order through the Bilt app for this one. I find that kind of annoying if that is how it will work. Having said that, I can easily use the GrubHub credit grabbing the kids a pick up order at KFC etc. like I do with my American Airlines card. That is as long as it isn't a pain to redeem at least.

$60 / year of credits for Bilt 15-minute home delivery
  • Redeem Bilt Cash toward Bilt’s ultra-fast Home Delivery orders on groceries, alcohol, and essentials, powered by Gopuff; $5 credit each month

Limiting this to $5 a month is pretty cheap. What is that going to get me? File this under the worthless category.

$100 / year toward Gopuff Fam (Free delivery and discounted groceries)
  • Cover your Gopuff Fam membership for up to twelve months; up to $100 annually; redeemable for monthly or annual membership; Available 3/1/26

I guess this could make your $5 credit more valuable, but is it worth the hoops and the $100 to do it? I say no, so worthless.

$300 / year of restaurant credit at select Bilt Dining partners
  • Use Bilt Cash toward meals at select Bilt partner restaurants via Mobile Dining Checkout; one visit per month up to $25; rollout expanding to thousands of restaurants nationwide throughout this year

I was hopeful for some discounted dining, but $25 seems kind of low for the cap. That is like two drinks, or one and a half appetizers these days. I guess if the system is easy to use, and there are a lot of restaurants added, then this could be interesting. I rarely run into a Bilt Neighborhood Dining options while eating out, so I am not holding my breath here. I could see it being a nice little discount for someone with a favorite restaurant on the eligible list though.

$600 / year toward dining experience bookings
  • Redeem Bilt Cash to book exclusive Bilt dining experiences; up to $50 per month; Available 3/1/26

These are normally in a couple of coastal cities each month, so it won't be useful to the majority of America.

Cardholder Exclusive Bonus Points

Cardholder exclusive bonuses are available when card earning is set to 4% back in Bilt Cash on everyday spend. This means choosing option A and not option B to be able to use these. That is an important distinction here.

Point accelerator on everyday spend
  • Enable +1X bonus points on all everyday spend for the next $5,000 following activation; exclusively available to Obsidian and Palladium cardholders; Cost: $200 Bilt Cash; up to 5 activations annually; expires after $5,000 spend or calendar year-end
  • Obsidian earnings when enabled: 4X dining or grocery³, 3X travel, 2X everyday spend
  • Palladium earnings when enabled: 3X everyday spend

This sounds interesting at first glance. Then you realize you are essentially buying Bilt points at 4 cents per point (in Bilt Cash). If you don't care about anything else on this list then that rate may not matter to you anyway. It is funny money they are giving you after all, it has no real value.

Getting 3x on every day spend with the Palladium card on up to $25,000 in spend every year doesn't sound too shabby. That would require $1000 in Bilt cash though. You do get $200 to start each year, so that would would be your initial $5000 in spend covered. That $5000 in spend would earn the next $200 in Bilt Cash you would need to unlock the earning again. That means you could get 3x on your first $25,000 in spend each year without missing a beat if you continue to roll your earnings. I kind of like this option for big spenders, especially since the rest of these options are not overly exciting.

Unlock points on housing payments, up to 1X
  • Unlock points on monthly rent or mortgage payments with no transaction fees; every $30 Bilt Cash redeemed earns 1,000 points, up to 1X of your monthly rent or mortgage payment

This offers a better value proposition on your Bilt Cash when compared to the spending offer above. At least in terms of the cost to buy your Bilt Rewards point (3 cents per point vs 4 cents per point). This is probably the better option for mid tier to low tier spenders.

How Do You Redeem Bilt Cash

Travel and Transportation

Up to $1,200 hotel credit / year
  • Use Bilt Cash in the Bilt Travel Portal; two-night minimum; up to $50/month for Blue & Silver members and $100/month for Gold & Platinum members

I have confirmed that you can stack this with the $200 bi-annual credit on the Palladium card. That would give you $300 every six months for at least the first two years, since you will have Gold status as a part of the welcome offer. Finding useful rooms in the $300 price point ($150 / night) is a lot easier versus $200. I plan on using the $200 in Bilt Cash I get yearly from our Palladium cards to do just that. I'll blow $600 on hotels for each card in the first year and offset the credit card annual fee.

The downside is a minimum of 2 night stay is required. Depending on how many hotels are in the portal, this could be useful for small town hotels when traveling for kids sports or on a road trip etc. You can also use your Bilt Rewards at 1.25 cents per point to pay any leftover amount for your stay. That could be useful for anyone points rich, but cash poor.

Unlock higher transfer bonuses
  • Use Bilt Cash to upgrade your Rent Day transfer bonus to the next status tier; Platinum members receive an additional boost; example: Gold member can upgrade from 75% to 100% for $75 Bilt Cash; pricing and availability subject to change

Depending on how big your Bilt Rewards stash is this could be the best deal of the bunch. Getting 25% more on a transfer bonus you find useful on 100,000 points is 25,000 more points. That is worth $375 if you value those points at 1.5 cents. If you look at it like buying the points with Bilt Cash, it is a cost of $0.003 per point in that scenario at $75 in Bilt Cash. This is the one to keep an eye on as the most lucrative option, at least potentially.

$120 Lyft rideshare credits / year
  • Redeem $10 per month toward Lyft rides

I could see people maxing this out most months. It should be a credit that is pretty easy to use.

Up to $150 toward a Blacklane ride / year
  • Redeem for Blacklane rides; up to $50/year (Blue & Silver), up to $100/year (Gold), or up to $150/year (Platinum)

Blacklane is so over priced that I wouldn't pay attention to this.

Up to $700 of BLADE credit / year
  • Redeem for BLADE airport flights; up to $350 per booking; up to 2 bookings per year; Available 3/1/26

If you have a ton of Bilt Cash that is expiring, and you want to feel fancy, then go off king / queen. I doubt many will touch this one outside of the finance vest bros.

Unlock Home Away From Home hotel benefits
  • Blue & Silver members can unlock luxury hotel booking benefits usually reserved only for Gold and Platinum members for $95 Bilt Cash; may include benefits such as room upgrades, ~$100 hotel credits, early check-in, late checkout, and more; Available 3/1/26

You get this with other banks just for holding the credit card. Unless you are pairing it up with your hotel perk redemption I would pass on this.

Up to $768 of Priority Pass extra guest credits / year
  • Palladium-only; cover up to two guest fees per month; $32 per guest; up to $64 statement credit per month

If you have a family and your spouse doesn't have a card with Priority Pass … get them a card with Priority Pass. Next!

$60 toward parking / year
  • Redeem $5 per month at participating Bilt Neighborhood Parking locations; Available 3/1/26

No words for this one.

Health and Wellness

$480 fitness class credit / year
  • Redeem toward one group fitness class per month in the Bilt app (including SoulCycle, Barry’s, and others); up to $40 per month

If you belong to a fancy gym then you should be able to afford to skip this credit to use one of the better value propositions above.

$120 Walgreens credit / year
  • Redeem $10 per month toward a Walgreens credit

I don't mind this one. I can grab some snacks etc. while traveling or driving around town.

Other

$600 toward comedy experience bookings per year
  • Redeem up to $50 per month for exclusive Bilt comedy experiences; Available 3/1/26

It would be laugh out loud funny if this extends past NYC and LA.

$120 Bilt Design Collection credit per year
  • Redeem up to $10 per month toward Bilt Design Collection purchases

What does $10 even do here? What a weird option for items they likely have wildly overpriced already.

Best Bilt Cash Redemptions

While I think Bilt Cash is just trying way too hard, I do think there is some potential value here. Ignore the noise of all of the bad redemptions and focus on two or three that would work for you. If nothing really works for you outside of mortgage / rent payments then go for option B. Earn your points on your rent / mortgage payment based on your monthly spend and move on with life.

If you see a few things that you think could be helpful, then go with option A. You can still cover some, or all, of your rent / mortgage payments with Bilt Cash, but you also have other options. That is especially useful if you spend above what is needed for your mortgage each month, or if you often find yourself in between those spending zones of option B.

Here are the Bilt Cash options I plan on using:
  • $100 towards hotel stays (2 night minimum)
    • I plan on pairing this up with our Palladium cards' $200 bi-annual credits. This is the no doubt about it use for me.
  • Unlock higher transfer bonuses
    • If the transfer bonus to All Accor comes back, then I am blowing some Bilt Cash to drain my Bilt Rewards balance for a 100% transfer bonus once again.
  • $10 monthly credits
    • If I have some extra Bilt Cash lying around (which I will in the first year) then I'll burn some on Lyft, Walgreens and Grubhub. Saving money on things I normally buy anyway helps me offset the annual fee. The three together equal a potential $360 in yearly savings
  • Increase my earn rate
    • I'll put this one as a possible redemption. If I have a stash of Bilt cash about to expire in December I will throw it at this. I don't know that I'll be spending enough on my Bilt cards to be in this position though.

I would put the $25 restaurant credit as a potential option too if they add any options near me that are decent. I do wonder how annoying it will be to redeem at restaurants though. As you can see, I don't plan on earning anything on our mortgage payments. That is because it is a simple ACH from my bank account. I don't want to add another chef to the kitchen for a few points on my most important payment. That is me though, I can see why that would be the best option for many.

How Do You Redeem Bilt Cash: ToP Thoughts

Figuring out hot to redeem Bilt Cash requires you wading through a lot of crap up there. I could see that being a turn off for many, and they will just select the mortgage / rent payment simplicity of option B. If you are leaning towards option A, like me, then I would make your own best Bilt Cash redemption list. Yours could be much different from mine, but it is a good exercise to do. Then you can focus on maximizing 2, 3 or 4 things each month / year and then forget about the rest. It appears that blocking out the white noise is important with Bilt Cash.
