Taking Advantage of this Virgin Atlantic Award Sale

Virgin Atlantic Flying Club points are some of the easiest points to earn. They are a transfer partner of Chase, Amex, Bilt, and Citi. Virgin Atlantic offers an excellent soft product in business class and their new seats in their A330neo are terrific. On the ground, the Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse in London Heathrow is one of my favorite lounges in the world.

The biggest issue with Virgin Atlantic awards is their taxes and fees from traveling through the UK. One trick to reducing the cash component with Virgin when flying from Europe is having your itinerary start outside the UK. This should shave £200 or so off your booking. Just remember that this award sale is only valid on Virgin Atlantic flights, so you cannot be connecting on Air France, KLM, or another partner airline.

We can always use other cheap ways to get across the pond in style. Virgin Atlantic is a great airline that has great service even in economy, and flies to lots of US airports. If you can stomach the taxes and fees, then this award sale is a no-brainer!
