The purpose of this post is to give you several easy-to-read guides for premium Chase card- insurance. Optimized for viewing on a smartphone without scrolling and searching, you will find the answer to “does my card cover that?” quickly and painlessly. Refer to your card's guide to benefits for full details. Chase switched insurance providers from eclaimsline to Assurant in October 2024, so make sure you get the more current guide to benefits. Some of these options are only on certain cards. Be sure to pay attention to which cards have which protections below.
Chase Premium Card Insurance: Save These Photos to Your Phone!
Here's an iPhone trick I didn't know until recently. When you open up your photos, you can search for words that appear in your pictures. In this case, when you save these guides, you can open your photos app, tap the search button at the top, type in “Insurance,” and voila – your guides are right there at your fingertips. No googling or scouring articles and forums for the relevant information. We did all the work for you!

Travel Accident Insurance
While Chase's premium cards all offer travel accident insurance, the CSR, CSR Business, and Ritz benefits are double the CSP and CIP's in some scenarios. This is the kind of stuff nobody likes talking about, but it's good to know what you're entitled to if you suffer loss of limb, speech, vision, or hearing.

Emergency Evacuation & Transportation
We're getting to the coverages now that are only available on the Chase Sapphire Reserve, Reserve for Business and Ritz cards. Emergency evacuation is a rare but valuable benefit, with up to $100,000 in coverage to have if you're injured and need to be transported to a hospital.

Emergency Medical & Dental Coverage
Limited to Chas Sapphire Reserve, Reserve for Business and Ritz cards, this insurance offers reimbursement for less serious emergencies. This covers injuries like a broken arm, sprained ankle, or a busted tooth from a foul ball you didn't catch. This one has lots of fine print, so check the full guide to benefits for all the details.

There is a LOT to unpack when reading through the 40-page guide to benefits on your Chase cards. The vast majority of people in the points and miles game have at least one premium Sapphire or Ink card, and Chase offers best-in-class protections for credit card holders. I sincerely hope these infographics help sift through the fine print and help you save the day when travel plans go sideways. Have you used Chase's emergency insurance?
