Chase Car Rental Insurance Guide: Save This Photo to Your Phone!
Here's an iPhone trick I didn't know until recently. When you open up your photos, you can search for words that appear in your pictures. In this case, when you save these guides, you can open your photos app, tap the search button at the top, type in “Insurance,” and voila – your guides are right there at your fingertips. No googling or scouring articles and forums for the relevant information. We did all the work for you!

Primary Rental Car Coverage & Why It Matters
This is one of the huge benefits that Chase offers. Primary CDW insurance can save you lots of money by declining the insurance the rental company offers. Make sure to read through this one carefully; some limitations apply to vehicle coverage. For example, if you're booking with your Sapphire Preferred, you may want to skip the Mercedes in the National Emerald Aisle if your personal auto insurance doesn't cover rentals. You could be personally liable for costs above your card's coverage limits. New York residents renting in the US take note – Chase's CDW is secondary if you already have car insurance. One last instance is that Chase can deny your claim if you used a business credit card for a personal trip in the US. Outside of the US, CDW is primary on business cards.

I sincerely hope these infographics help sift through the fine print and help you save the day when travel plans go sideways. Have you used Chase's car rental insurance?
