Chase switched insurance providers from eclaimsline to Assurant in October 2024, so make sure you get the more current guide to benefits when looking online. Most coverage remain the same, but there are some minor changes. Bear in mind that these infographics are for quick reference, and Chase can change this insurance at any time.
Is This Stackable With Other Forms Of Reimbursement?
The answer to that question is yes and no. Chase insurance is secondary to other forms of compensation in certain situations. For example, if you stay in a hotel the airline booked you in (and paid for), you can't claim that expense on your Chase insurance. That doesn't mean you have to accept a crappy hotel the airline offers to put you up in. If you do accept compensation from a common carrier, you can use Chase's insurance for certain expenses that aren't covered. Here's an iPhone trick I didn't know until recently. When you open up your photos, you can search for words that appear in your pictures. In this case, when you save these guides, you can open your photos app, tap the search button at the top, type in “Insurance,” and voila – your guides are right there at your fingertips. The above scenario wasn't a hypothetical…it happened to my family on a trip to Costa Rica. There was no other way to get to Houston on time to catch our connecting flight to Liberia, so our trip delay insurance kicked in. Ok, maybe my wife didn't swoon as we waited out the delay.
