Capital One Café Las Vegas

Last year Derrick did a write up on his experience at the Capital One Café Detroit and people seemed to like it, so I figured I would jump in on the fun. I visited the Capital One Café Las Vegas while in town over the weekend, and wanted to share my thoughts. While it is not as big and grandiose as the Detroit location, I do think it is a useful option. It could also end up saving you in a pinch while in Vegas. Especially if you're staying on the north end of the strip.

What is a Capital One Café?

Capital One lists the Capital One Café as “the comfortable coffee shop and working space you’ve been looking for.” In a nutshell, a Capital One Café is a Capital One bank branch, with full-service banking options, and a coffee shop. There is ample space to use the wifi and work remotely, space out and enjoy a cup of joe, or jump into a private area and discuss investment options with a Capital One banker. Intrigued? I certainly am.

At the time of writing, there are over 45 Capital One Cafés in 18 states and the District of Columbia. Not surprisingly, all locations are in urban areas. You can see the full list of locations here.

Location Of The Las Vegas Branch

The location of the Capital One Café Las Vegas is a bit hidden, even if it is on the strip. Unless you were looking for it you would probably never know it was there. The Capital One Café is located inside the Fashion Show Mall which is sandwiched a bit between Treasure Island and Resorts World. To be fair, it is a whole lot closer to Treasure Island since the vacant Wynn West land sits between the mall and Resorts World. It was still only like a 10-15 minute walk for me from Resorts World.

The Capital One Café Las Vegas is located on the first floor of the interior of the mall. It does not have a strip facing store front, so you do need to enter the mall to find it. Be sure to enter on the ground floor since the elevators inside the mall are horribly slow.

Overview Of The Vegas Capital One Café

Once you find the Capital One Café you will notice one ATM on the outside of the entrance. This is big for anyone that wants to make a cash withdrawal, or deposit, into their Capital One account when the café is closed. This is a great way to avoid those $10 ATM fees in the casino too. At least, if you don't have the Charles Schwab debit card that is. They have another ATM located inside the café too.

When you enter, you will notice the space is modest. It is basically one big rectangle and you can see almost everywhere from the entry area. There a various seating options around the outside of the space. In the middle of it all is where you will find the coffee bar. They have various drinks, coffee, espresso and snacks for purchase here. If you order any of the made to order coffee products you get half off the purchase when paying with your Capital One card.

I ordered an espresso with my Venture X Business card to trigger the 50% off discount. The pricing was pretty good, especially for the Las Vegas strip, even before the discount. It was downright cheap after the discount, at a mere $2.03 including tax. If you need some caffeine, and don't like paying $10 at a casino café for it, then this is your spot.

Capital One Café Las Vegas Review: ToP Thoughts

Overall, I think the Capital One Café Las Vegas offers value to Capital One cardholders and banking customers. Having access to a no fee, or low fee if using an outside bank, ATM right on the strip is pretty great on its own. What makes it even better is having a place that offers a cheap caffeine fix should you need it.

I could see myself working here on a future trip as well. There were plenty of seating options, and even some closed door rooms for meetings etc., that are conducive to a good working environment. I find hotel rooms to be tough to work in at times because the seating options are not always the best. I would rather head to the Capital One Café Las Vegas, and work there while drinking some dirt cheap beverages.

Let me know if you have ever been to the Capital One Café Las Vegas, or any other location, and what you thought of it over in the ToP Facebook Group.
