Caesars Rewards Prestige Visa Details
A new casino credit card launched a week or so ago that could be interesting to the right person. It is one of the few cards these days that actually pays you in perks more than the annual fee is worth. Remember those original Aspire card days? At least one that doesn't require a ton of hoop jumping and random couponing that is. Because of that I figured it would be worth going over the Caesars Rewards Prestige Visa details. Spoiler alert: this is a card that will only make sense to people over Chase 5/24.

Welcome Offer
Here are the current welcome offer details for the Caesars Rewards Prestige Visa:
- Earn 20,000 Reward Credits® and 2,500 Tier Credits when you spend $1,000 outside of Caesars Rewards destinations on your new Caesars Rewards Prestige Visa Signature® Credit Card within 90 days of account opening.
- Rewards credits are worth $0.01 a piece in the Caesars Rewards program.
- They can also be transferred to Wyndham Rewards at a 1 to 1 rate
- There is a 30,000 point transfer cap per calendar year
- The transfers need to be done in 5,000 point chunks
- Earn 2,500 Tier Credits when you open and use your card outside of Caesars Rewards destinations within 90 days of approval.
- Get a Platinum status upgrade when you open and use your card within 90 days of approval.
- This gives you free parking at their properties.
- The $149 annual fee is NOT waived
The welcome offer is nothing too exciting. It will offset the annual fee in the first year at least, plus add a little bit extra to your pocket. The real value is instead found in the card's long term perks.
Earning Structure
The earning structure of the Caesars Rewards Prestige Visa is nothing too exciting:
- 7 Reward Credits per $1 spent at Caesars Rewards® destinations
- 2 Reward Credits per $1 spent on restaurant, travel and entertainment
- 1 Reward Credit for every $1 spent everywhere else Visa® is accepted and cash advances
The card also offers no foreign transaction fees. Getting 7% back at Caesars Rewards destinations isn't bad, but that is about all that is worth considering. The 1 reward credit on cash advances is interesting, but could also be extremely predatory at the same time. The fees for the cash advance that the cashier cage charges will heavily outweigh the 1% back your get from the 1x Reward Credit earning. It could be useful for loading the Caesars Sportsbook app though.

My Quick Thoughts On The Perks
The free night, worth up to $300, is where the real value comes in here. The dining credit and slot play will pretty much offset the annual fee each year easily enough for most of the target demographic. Where you can come out with a guaranteed win is the free night. It doesn't get added to your account until after your first year, so you will see it after paying your second annual fee. The welcome offer should make up for that in year one and then you can harvest your value with this perk in year two.
There are also some earning perks for people interested in status with Caesars Rewards:
- 2,500 Tier Credits when spending $5,000 on your card in a calendar year (Annually).
- 2,500 Tier Credits when spending $10,000 on your card in a calendar year (Annually).
- 15,000 Tier Credits when spending $50,000 on your card in a calendar year (Annually).

Caesars Rewards Prestige Visa Details: ToP Thoughts
After looking at the Caesars Rewards Prestige Visa details a bit I find this card mildly interesting. I travel enough to areas with Caesars Rewards locations that I should be able to use the perks fairly easily. I say that as someone well above Chase 5/24 though. If you are under 5/24 this is a pass all the way until you move past 5/24. Even then, this card would be pretty far down the list of priorities.
I could see some gamblers not being interested in the card because they get comp rooms with Caesars already. That is a fair concern. I would say that maybe this could still make sense if you are only receiving weekday comped room offers, or if you travel with others often that don't get comped rooms. You could always use the free night on a traveling companion or for more space for your family / a second room etc. The card is probably best for lower end gamblers that still see expensive weekend rates. Ones who could easily maximize the $100 dinner and slot play to go along with the yearly free night.
The big question I have remaining is does the free night work with whatever discounted rates you are seeing in your Caesars Rewards account? Or, does it require you to book the standard rack rate for the hotel? If you are able to use it on your discounted player rates, then this could get you into some hotels that are normally out of your reach.
