Avianca LifeMiles Award Sale
Costa Rica for 2,750 miles?! There is an Avianca Lifemiles Award Sale now through Jan. 26, 2026 and it can get you to parts of Latin America for as little as 2,400 miles plus taxes and fees. The Colombia-based airline is already known for its affordable award rates. And with these added discounts, it doesn't get much cheaper for international travel. There are even routes to Europe and business class seats on offer. Just be sure to note the airline's cancellation fees and policies, and keep in mind that business class may look a little different on this airline. Avianca LifeMiles aren’t hard to get your hands on, with most of the major transferable currencies allowing points transfers to the program. You can transfer points directly to Avianca from the following transferrable currencies at a 1:1 ratio.

Capital One also currently has a 15% transfer bonus, so you can transfer your miles at a rate of 1:1.15. With the exception of Marriott Bonvoy, most transfers should be instant.

Discounted one-way award flights are available between select U.S. cities and Central and South America and Europe. There are also non-U.S. routes available.

- Blackout dates: March 29, 2026, through April 5, 2026
- Cost: Economy fares start at 2,400 LifeMiles, and business fares begin around 13,540 LifeMiles.

How To Book The Sale
Login to your account on Avianca’s website to run your award search. Select “Use miles” and then “Travel with miles.” Be sure to search for one-way flights. Select your preferred fare class.

Input your desired cities and click “Dates.” This will populate the LifeMiles calendar. Sale dates are highlighted in red (though availability may still be limited).

Select your preferred date to hone in on routes for that day. Members of the Club LifeMiles and LifeMiles+ subscription programs can snag even deeper discounts.

Also note fare differences, which may offer more flexibility and other perks.

Avianca LifeMiles Award Sale: ToP Thoughts
