Capital One Venture 100K Offer
We recently saw Capital One increase the public offer on their Venture Rewards card to include a points bonus plus a $250 travel credit. A little while later they snuck in an even better offer, but it was only available via referrals. It appears that it is even limited to only some referrals, and not everyone has this offer showing. We wanted to share some that we have available to you so that you can get the best offer possible. Why The Refer A Friend Offer Is Better
On the surface the Capital One Venture 100K offer looks pretty similar, in terms of value at least, to current public offer. They both have a travel value of $1000, one just has a travel credit paired up with a points bonus to get there. That is if you use the Capital One travel eraser perk though. If you instead transfer the Capital One miles to a travel partner, then you can usually do better than 1 cent per point. Throw in the fact that the travel credit requires a portal booking AND has an expiration date … you see where I am going. The 100K refer a friend offer gives you some extra value, better usability and doesn't have an expiration clock ticking. That makes it the better overall offer, even if they look similar at first glance.
Capital One Application Rules
Here are the Capital One applications rules you should be aware of from our guide on all bank's application rules.
Capital One generally will only approve you for one card every six months. This rule applies to both personal and business cards, meaning you cannot open a personal card and a business card within six months of each other (most of the time).
Additionally, Capital One has a two-card maximum, regardless of personal or business. It is difficult to hold more than 2 Capital One cards at a time (although sometimes possible).
We should also note that this card is best to get once you are over Chase 5/24.
