Hopefully this ToP Roundup series will give you some interesting tidbits and new information you may have missed during the week. If you see anything out there that you think others may find of interest please feel free to share it with me at Mark@travel-on-points.com.

Citi / AAdvantage Executive Mastercard Refresh: 100K Bonus, Higher Fee and New Benefits – Danny the Deal Guru

The 10 authorized user cards for free on the Citi AAdvantage Executive Mastercard were / are one of the more under the radar perks of an airline card. That is because each one had lounge access rights and could bring in up to 2 immediate family members. While the upcoming 100K bonus will be nice the lounge access was the big driver of value for the card. Not a good move for us overall in my opinion.

ITALIAN SUMMER PARANOIA: AIR DRAFTS AND COLD WIND – Italy Segreta

I got sucked down a random rabbit hole the other day on what Italians, and Italy as a whole, does not fully support air conditioning. Most of us are aware how hot it gets in Italy in the summer and how miserable that can be without AC. The thing holding back wider adoption, and why you see many Italians wearing scarves in the heat, is a good portion of them believe AC can make you sick. Specifically a cold chill on your neck, especially constantly and at night, can make you ill. It is an interesting take and makes me understand why they face the heat the way they do. I figured I would share in case you were in the dark like me.
