Rove Miles Adds Japan Airlines
We've had lots of movement in the world of new transfer partners recently. Last week, Chase Ultimate Rewards added Wyndham Rewards. This week, Rove Miles adds Japan Airlines. For Japan Airlines, this is its third transfer partner, after Bilt Rewards added the airline in May 2025 and Capital One did so in September 2025. Now, let's get into all the details.
RELATED: This is a reminder you can track all transfer partners on the ToP Partner Transfer Tool. It is updated daily with transfer partners, transfer bonuses, timing, etc.
What is Rove Miles?
If you haven't heard of Rove Miles, and/or don't have an account, have no fear. You can read all about the “first universal airline mile” HERE. If you don't have an account (it's free!) you can sign up HERE and get some miles for merely signing up.
Rove Miles is a shopping portal in theory, but is much more in practice. You can use it like a traditional shopping portal (think Rakuten), but there is a lot more to it. You can also book loyalty-eligible hotels and earn hotel elite qualifying nights, points for the cash cost AND earn Rove Miles for booking via their portal. A word of caution: 1) for loyalty-eligible stays you can often get better deals via a traditional travel agent, at least at luxury properties (email [email protected] if we can assist), and 2) if you are booking non-elite-qualifying stays, the hotel booking is merely via an online travel agency (OTA) and should be avoided in almost all instances.
Rove Miles Adds Japan Airlines
As mentioned previously, Rove Miles bills itself as the “universal airline mile.” That is, at least in part, because Rove Miles is a transferrable currency with transfer partners. You can see all thirteen partners on our ToP Transfer Tool, and below. All partners are at 1 to 1 transfer ratios, unless listed differently:
- Accor Live Limitless (ALL) (Transfer at 3 to 2)
- Aeromexico
- Air France/KLM/Flying Blue
- Air India
- Cathay Pacific
- Etihad
- Finnair
- Hainan Airlines
- Lufthansa
- Qatar Airways
- Thai Airways
- Turkish Airlines
- Vietnam Airlines
As of March 2, 2026, Rove Miles adds Japan Airlines as its fourteenth (14th) transfer partner with a rate of 1 to 1. This is exciting news for fans of Japan Airlines' excellent award charts and Rove Miles enthusiasts.

But Wait…There's More
To celebrate the addition of Japan Airlines, Rove Miles is offering a 50% transfer bonus through 11:59pm EST on 3/31/26. During this promotion, you can transfer Rove Miles at 1 to 1.5, with no minimum or maximum transfer amounts required.
Rove Miles Adds Japan Airlines
Anytime we get a new transfer partner it is a good thing. Even if we never take advantage of it, more options is always better. In this instance, Japan Airlines is an excellent option! If you are unfamilar with the this award program, you should learn about it. Business class between USA and Japan is 55,000 per person at its cheapest. That means with this limited-time transfer bonus during the month of March, those business class awards only cost 37,000 miles each way. Read that again. And, yes, you read that correctly. It is insane, but in a good way! Japan Airlines has similarly good deals with many of its oneworld partners too, it is not just limited to its own flights or to/from Japan. There is good value all over the globe.
What's your thoughts on this development? Are you collecting Rove Miles? If not be sure to sign up for some free miles! Then come over to the Facebook group and let us know if you're using this 50% transfer bonus in March.
