These categories and shops represent your best bets for increased Rakuten Big Give Week offers, according to the website:

  • Summer travel (Expedia, Viator, hotels, tours, rental cars, luggage, travel accessories and more)
  • Beauty (Ulta, Bluemercury, Tatcha and Dermstore)

Tips For Shopping Rakuten Big Give Week

To make the most of Rakuten Big Give Week, be sure to:

  • Start your shopping trips through Rakuten: You can use either the browser extension or the app.
  • Doublecheck rates across stores and portals: Check Cashback Monitor to compare multipliers across different shopping portals, since some may still be higher than Rakuten. You can also search individual products within Rakuten to decide which store to purchase from based on earning rates.
  • Stack, stack and stack: Activate any relevant offers on your cards from Chase, Amex, etc., before checking out. Search for sales from the individual stores, but be sure to check Rakuten's terms for the store to ensure the validity of sale items and/or coupon codes. See our full guide to stacking for other ideas.
  • Track payout progress: Navigate to your list of shopping trips. Rakuten will display each one's status, including an estimate of when it will change from “pending” to “confirmed.” Expect most purchases made during Rakuten Big Give Week to post after the May 15 payout. And don't forget that Rakuten's earning rates for Bilt Rewards are set to change after May 15 checks are distributed.
  • Meet your shopping portal goals: What will you spend your earnings on?
  • See Rakuten's official FAQ here for more info.

Rakuten Big Give Week: ToP Thoughts

Over a week of increased multipliers at Rakuten? We're here for it. These won't necessarily represent all-time high multipliers at every store, but are likely the highest rates in a while at many of them. I'd guess it will be the last time we see so many splashy offers all at once until Memorial Day weekend, at least. Just be sure to compare rates to other shopping portals and follow Rakuten's terms to ensure your earnings post correctly. What offers do you hope to see during Rakuten Big Give Week?
