Move Credit Between Chase Cards Online
One cool thing that many lenders let you do is reallocate credit between your accounts. Some let you do it only between certain cards, like personal to personal or business to business. Some banks let you move it between personal and business, or even between two different businesses. This has been easy to do online with American Express for a while now. It looks like they won't be the only one either, since you can now move credit between Chase cards online as well. Although, it does seem to be rolling out only to select accounts at this time.

ToggleI recently tested this out and it worked seamlessly, so I figured I would share a guide on how to quickly move credit between your Chase credit cards online. It is important to note, per the data points on Doctor of Credit, not everyone has this available on their accounts yet. I was able to on my business cards, but not on my personal credit cards at this time.
Why Transfer Credit Between Your Credit Card Accounts?
Before we get into the how, we should get into the why. Why move credit from one Chase credit card to another, or at any bank for that matter? Sometimes it helps to turn a denial to an approval on a new application, especially with Chase and Bank of America. But, that isn't really the same thing here if we're being honest. Here, we are reallocating credit from one account to another that you already have. These are some of the reasons you may want to do that:
- You get a approved for a new card with an insufficient credit limit
- You have a card you use often but have a lower than needed credit limit
- There is a card you are going to close soon but don't want to lose access to that credit
Those are the main reason to transfer credit from one Chase credit card to another.
How To Move Credit Between Chase Cards Online
Now lets get into the steps. Once you are logged in and into the move credit lines, it is only three steps.
Step 1: Log In & Select The Card You Want To Move Credit From
As noted above I have not been able to see this on all cards yet. In this example I will be moving credit lines between my Chase business cards. I logged into my Chase account and selected the business credit card account screen that I wanted to move credit from.

Step 2: Select More & Then Move Credit Line
As you can see above, once you get into your credit card account you will want to locate the MORE option. This is a screenshot from a computer, but I was able to get this to pull up in the Chase app too. Once you select MORE, you will want to find MOVE CREDIT LINE (if it is available to you at least) from the drop down menu.

Step 3: Chose From The Selection Of Available Chase Credit Cards
On the next screen it will list out the Chase credit cards that are available to move the credit line to. For my example this was all business cards. Once you select the desired Chase card to move credit to online, hit the NEXT button.

Step 4: Chose Your Desired Amount Of Credit To Be Moved
On the following screen you will be shown the current credit limit on your card, and how much credit you have available to move to the account online. I decided to move $500 to my Ink Business Unlimited card from my World of Hyatt Business card. The account change was instant, and I received a confirmation email of the activity as well.
