Starlux Galactic Lounge Taipei Terminal Two Review

Lounges always seem to be on the mind of travelers, especially award travelers. While I try and spend as little time as possible at the airport, I felt a review of this lounge was in order. I was flying International business class and at an airport I was not familiar with, which meant I would be at the airport early. I was excited to try the Starlux product on my first booking and I felt that it should include the lounge. Starlux opened the lounge in terminal two (International Terminal) on February 1, 2024. There is also a lounge in terminal one as well. In this Starlux Galactic lounge Taipei terminal two review, I will go over access, amenities and food options for the lounge, and give my overall thoughts.

Updated 11/21/2025: Several more visits to this lounge and have updated where needed.

Access

I gained access via my business class ticket, which was booked via Atmos (Alaska Airlines) miles. At the current time you need to be a business or first class passenger on Starlux, or an elite member with their Cosmile program, to gain access to the Starlux Galactic lounge. No guests for business or first class passengers are allowed, but elite members have guest access. Although I had a digital wallet boarding pass, I stopped at the check-in counter and received a lounge access pass and a map on where to find the lounge. You can also go directly to the lounge if needed. I did this on 2025 visits.

Location and Check-in

The Starlux Galactic Lounge in Taipei terminal two is Located near gate D7. It was easy to find it on the main walkway towards the gate. A staff member welcomed me with a friendly smile and greeting, while also reminding me of my flight information and departure gate. Next, she led me into the lounge and gave a brief tour of the lounge area and pointed in the right direction of amenities. The lounge will appear small in comparison to many other lounges you may have visited. That said, Starlux's flight schedule is much smaller. Just two international flights were scheduled for the night I was traveling. They have ramped up routes in 2025, but the lounge is still pretty quiet and peaceful.

Dining

The main dining area of the Starlux Galactic Lounge Taipei in terminal two is easily visible immediately upon entry. It features a buffet and a small seating area.

Additionally, you can order a la carte using a QR code at your table.

I tested this method as well. The food was delivered hot and fresh within about 5 minutes.

There are plenty of food options to choose from. I sampled some buffet items as well a fresh salad and some of the meat dishes, which were all good. I did skip the hot dogs as that seemed like an odd item to offer.

Downstairs you will find two more seating areas, which are more traditional lounge style with some tables and bench seating.

I like that each seating area has usb charger ports underneath. There is also another buffet set up downstairs. It's a similar style set up where you can order a la carte as well if you prefer.

Starlux Galactic Lounge Taipei Terminal Two Review: Other Amenities

Here are some of the other amenities that the Starlux Galactic lounge has to offer.

Lockers

A great way to relax and not be lugging bags around. This comes in especially handy here since the lounge has stairs. I used these to put my carry-on suitcase in, which fit easily. This also made it a good time to prep for an evening shower before flying. You can simply set your own combination to the locker for easy access upon return.

Showers

Shower is an amenity I enjoy having access to on these long journeys and the Starlux Galactic Lounge has them available. The normal procedure is they would take your boarding pass and swap it for a shower key. You would then return the key after you're done. Since I had a digital boarding pass they just made note of my information and gave me a shower key. All of this worked the same in 2025 as well.

The hallways and doors definitely give off that Galactic them they strive for. A staff member escorted me downstairs to the shower area and assigned me a room.

I found the room to be clean, organized well, and had plenty of space. The room was well appointed with items you may have left at home or forgotten in your bags such as a comb, cotton swabs, and a razor. There was a sign asking users to limit their time in the usage to 30 minutes or less.

Starlux Galactic Lounge Taipei Terminal Two Review: ToP Thoughts

Flying Starlux Business Class gives you access to the Starlux Galactic Lounge at Taipei Terminal Two. You will find a comfortable space to relax in while waiting for your flight. The lounge offers plenty of dining options as well as being able to store your bags and refresh with a shower. I was impressed in 2025 to still find the same great service and lounge to relax in.
