Chase Sapphire Reserve $500 Travel Credit
Just over a year ago, the revamped Chase Sapphire Reserve card was unveiled. It introduced the new credits for luxury hotels, dining and entertainment we cover regularly on the ToP blog today. Its limited-time offer also included a one-time $500 Chase Travel℠ promo credit after new cardholders met the minimum spend. That Chase Sapphire Reserve $500 travel credit is only available for those who completed that specific offer from June 23-Aug. 21, 2025, and it expires one year after issuance. If you earned that SUB and haven't used that credit yet, it's a good time to find a use for it before it expires. Here's how it works.

How The One-Time $500 Credit Works
The Chase Sapphire Reserve $500 travel credit was part of a limited-time welcome offer, which ran from June 23-Aug. 21, 2025. The offer included 100,000 bonus points and a one-time $500 promo credit to be used in Chase Travel℠.
- After new cardholders met the required spend of $5,000 in their first three months from opening the card, they should have received an email confirming that the credit was made available in their accounts. Here's a screenshot of what that email looked like, shared by a ToP Facebook Group member last year.

- It is valid for one year from the date it was issued. To see your credit's specific expiration date, find it in your account under travel benefits.
- The credit must be used in the Chase Travel℠ portal for eligible hotel stays, flights, rental cars, activities/tours or cruises. (Some products may be excluded.) Whatever you book, our standard travel portal cautions apply.
- The credit applies at check-out. It is essentially a coupon that you can toggle on and off.
- When it comes to credit stacking, we generally say that YMMV with the order in which credits apply. But because this credit acts as a discount at the time of booking, you should be able to stack it with the card's other premium hotel credits that act as a statement credits. Just ensure that you charge enough on the booking to trigger those other credits too.
- Even if you've already used up your dedicated Edit credits for the year, you could also use it to access another stay through The Edit and enjoy the program's premium perks.
Remember: The Credit Must Be Used In Shot
Because the credit is one-time use, it must be redeemed all at once. If you make a purchase that is less than $500, you'll forfeit the remaining balance.

Chase Sapphire Reserve $500 Travel Credit: ToP Thoughts
The clock is ticking on the Chase Sapphire Reserve $500 travel credit. If you applied for the Chase Sapphire Reserve around this time last year, you likely completed the welcome offer later in the summer or early in the fall. That means it expires soon! If you have access to this credit, make the most of it now. Just remember: It has to be used all in one go. Apply it to a booking that is close to or just over $500. Or, try stacking it with a premium hotel program booking. Have you used this credit yet? Let us know over in the ToP Facebook Group.
