Bilt Transfers to Wyndham Rewards

Wyndham is having a moment. Just one month after becoming the fourth hotel transfer partner for Chase Ultimate Rewards, it's linking up with yet another transferable currency. Today, Bilt Rewards has announced that Wyndham Rewards will become its 25th transfer partner. Bilt already has one of the strongest rosters of partners in the game—and it's great to see that list continue to grow. Let's take a look at some potential Bilt transfers to Wyndham Rewards to help evaluate whether they'd make sense for your travels. Photos courtesy Wyndham.

Should You Transfer to Wyndham Rewards?

Let's weigh a few things:

Cost of Award Nights

Now that Bilt transfers to Wyndham Rewards, should you utilize this partner? It depends. The Wyndham Rewards loyalty program is pretty straightforward. Free nights are bookable at rates of 7,500, 15,000 or 30,000 Wyndham Rewards points, or 15,000–30,000 points at a participating Caesars Rewards property. There is also an option to book Discounted Nights with Points + Cash.

Award Cost v. Cash Cost

As we analyzed in our article about last month's Chase announcement, a free night for 7,500 Bilt Rewards sounds like a solid deal. But before you transfer, closely examine the cash price and calculate the CPP to determine how solid of a deal it really is. Wyndham Rewards are usually valued at less than 1 cent per point, so that 7,500 point room? It might only have a cash price around $75. If that's the case, that's objectively not a good deal—especially knowing how valuable Bilt Rewards can be when transferred to other partners. If you're set on a Wyndham stay, keep in mind that Chase, Capital One and Citi also transfer to Wyndham. Finally, consider that you can often purchase Wyndham Rewards points for $0.007 each during points sales. While we generally caution against buying points, that route might make sense since the price of points is even better than the cash cost of the room.
