Amex Hilton Aspire Resort Credit

American Express has many gems in its Hilton credit card lineup, and the Hilton Aspire card is the cream of the crop. The annual fee is high, but there are plenty of perks. One such perk is the Amex Hilton Aspire resort credit. Now, this credit has been a part of the card's offerings since launch, but American Express decided to double down on it. Instead of getting a $250 Hilton Resort credit once per year, you now get $200 twice a year. The $400 resort credit is split up between the first half of the year (Jan 1 – June 30) and the second half of the year (July 1 – December 31st). This perk can greatly offset the annual fee and make the Hilton Aspire a long-term keeper.Updated 8/10/26: Added 24 new hotel options for 2026 and removed 5 that are no longer an option.

There Is A Catch

The catch to the Amex Hilton Aspire Resort credit is that it only works at Hilton “resorts”. What constitutes a resort? Well, Hilton tells you which hotel locations they think are a resort. We combed through the list of around 200 hotels that work for this credit and categorized them by geographical area and then by country. Note that Hilton categorizes many hotels incorrectly, listing them in the wrong geographical areas. We correctly organized the hotels below. You can find the entire Hilton list here as well.

Hopefully this guide makes it a bit easier to figure out where to use your Aspire resort credit each year. That $400 goes a long way towards covering the annual fee and should be a focus for cardholders each year. There are some really interesting hotels that we had never heard of before on the list. You can use your Aspire card as a credit on property to cover meals and other costs, which helps make a fancy hotel just a little bit more affordable.
