American Airlines Targeted Promotions
There are new American Airlines targeted promotions going out via email that are offering bonus points after a few flights. You can also check your American Airlines account to see what you get. Please share anything you are targeted for that you don't see listed below in the ToP Facebook Group, and I'll add it in.
How To Check Your American Airlines Account
You can check your email for an American Airlines targeted promotions offer, or you can just log into your American Airlines AAdvantage account. Once there, scroll down on the left hand side and click the Promotions section of your account, located under Rewards Hub.
If you are targeted there will likely be a red number next to it showing that there is something new there. When you select the Promotions option it should be the first thing listed, as you can see from my account pictured above.
Different American Airlines Targeted Promotions Options
Here are some of the American Airlines targeted promotions that we have seen so far. Let me know if you see something different and I will add it in.
- 15,000 bonus miles for 6 flights in First, Business or Premium Economy
- 10,000 bonus miles for 4 flights in First, Business or Premium Economy
- 8,000 bonus miles when you fly 2 flights in any cabin
- 5,000 bonus miles when you fly 2 flights in First, Business or Premium Economy
- 4,000 bonus miles when you fly 2 flights in any cabin and earn
Terms For Each Offer
- Register for these promotions by July 22, 2024 and before booking your flights.
- Fly 2 qualifying flights between August 1 – September 30, 2024
- Flights marketed and/or operated by codeshare partners don't qualify for this promotion.
- Flights that don’t earn AAdvantage® miles won’t count.
- Flight tickets issued with mileage redemption don't qualify for this promotion.
- Bonus miles will be awarded within 14 days after the qualifying flight segment is posted to your AAdvantage® account.
American Airlines Promo: ToP Thoughts
These American Airlines flight promos are far from a great deal. They have limited windows to trigger them, and only work on newly booked flights. I would still activate them, because you just never know. It also appears that two one-way flights would trigger it. I didn't notice anything in the terms that specified round trip flights on my offer. Be sure to check the terms of your offer though.
