Wells Fargo Adds Cathay Pacific

Wells Fargo is back at it! Less than two weeks ago, we wrote about how Wells Fargo added Wyndham Rewards to its partner list at an incredible 1:2 ratio. Today, we've learned that Wells Fargo adds Cathay Pacific Asia Miles to its growing list of transfer partners at a 1:1 ratio. Yet again, this ratio is better than some other banks are offering, notably American Express Membership Rewards transfers to Cathay at a rate of 5:4.

RELATED: This is a reminder you can track all transfer partners on the ToP Partner Transfer Tool. It is updated daily with transfer partners, transfer bonuses, timing, etc.

Wells Fargo Transferable Currency

If you're not familiar with Wells Fargo's transferable currency, it's probably because it is one of the newest on the scene. However, it is very consumer-friendly. You can transfer rewards to anyone, you can earn up to 5X with its cards, and it regularly has lucrative cash back offers on its cards. Once you're over 5/24, these are great cards to grab.

Wells Fargo Adds 11th Transfer Partner

As Wells Fargo adds Cathay Pacific's Asia Miles, its roster grows to 11 transfer partners. You can see all 11 partners on our ToP Transfer Tool, and we've listed them here below. All partners are at 1-to-1 transfer ratios, unless listed differently:

  • Aer Lingus Aerclub
  • Avianca lifemiles
  • British Airways
  • Choice Hotels (1 to 2)
  • Flying Blue
  • Iberia Club
  • True Blue/jetBlue
  • Virgin Atlantic
  • Virgin Red
  • Wyndham Rewards (1 to 2)

As of April 28, 2026, Wells Fargo adds Cathay Pacific as a transfer partner matching the industry-leading rate of 1 to 1. Wells Fargo is demonstrating its desire to be a real contender among credit card issuers with transferable points by adding more transfer partners rapidly. Cathay Pacific joining the list of 7 existing airline transfer partners expands the opportunities for redemptions with Cathay Pacific specifically and also with its other oneworld alliance partners.

Wells Fargo Adds Cathay Pacific Asia Miles: ToP Thoughts

This is an exciting development for anyone with Wells Fargo Rewards, as you now have another airline transfer partner option from Wells Fargo. Cathay Pacific's program is great for flights to Asia through its headquarters in Hong Kong. Typically, Cathay Pacific releases more seats on its flights to its own Asia Miles members than to other programs. Cathay Pacific's Asia Miles program is also a good way to book flights on British Airways for lower taxes and fees.

What are your thoughts on this development? Are you collecting Wells Fargo Rewards? Come over to the Facebook group and let us know.
