Marriott Free Night After Two Nights Promo

There is an excellent new Marriott free night after two nights promo that just launched. Shira saw it in her app this morning and asked if I was going to write about it or if she should post it in the ToP Facebook Group. I wasn't aware of a new promotion and said if it is their normal double points junk just post it. She replied, you may wanna take a look at this one. Color me surprised, she was right! This is a promotion I would actually consider changing my travel bookings around if everything lines up. This is a targeted promo so hopefully many of you get it. Let's take a look at the details.

Marriott Free Night After Two Nights Promo: ToP Thoughts

I know Shira is considering changing her summer points booking to a paid stay (or cash plus points). I think this is the way to go if the cash rate isn't insane. That 35,000 point certificate is worth around $200 to me ($0.006 per point). For it to make sense you have to have a use for the free night certificate too. Earning a $200 item that you can't use is really worth $0. So be sure the hotel you are booking doesn't have an exaggerated cash price compared to the points cost and also be sure you have a use for the free night cert before jumping in head first. If all of that lines up then you are golden, and I am officially jealous of you.

You should be able to pull up your Bonvoy app to see if you are targeted for the promo that way as well.
