Frontier GoWild Flight Pass

A few years back Frontier launched their GoWild flight pass as a kind of gimmicky option for severely discounted flights. The catch was that you had to be super flexible because of the rules and booking windows. That still holds true, but you do get it for longer than normal this time around. Which could make it more useful for the people that have been sitting right atop the fence in previous years. The added timeframe, plus a few new features, could make the Frontier GoWild flight pass a decent value proposition for more people than normal. Throw in that crazy good Frontier status match offer, and now we're cooking with gas. There are still some Grand Canyon sized caveats we need to review together though.

Offer Details

The Frontier GoWild flight pass offer ends today, September 5, 2025. I missed this deal earlier in the week, which means you don't have a lot of time to decide if this makes sense for you unfortunately. Hopefully we can help break it down enough for you to make the snap decision whether to pursue this or not. Here are the details of the offer:

  • Purchase a 2026-2027 GoWild! All-You-Can-Fly Annual Pass for just $299* (regularly $599)
    • You get to begin using it right away, rather than waiting for the standard travel period to begin in May 2026, providing an extra eight months of unlimited flights with Frontier.
  • Confirm your booking the day before domestic flights and starting 10 days prior for international travel.
  • Want to plan ahead? Use our early booking feature to secure select flights early for an additional fee.

I couldn't find any terms on the book ahead feature, so I wouldn't plan on anything there. If you find something, then great, but I think it will be rare, or too costly to factor in. I would love to be wrong on that though.

Offer Terms

Here are some terms you should be aware of:

  • Flights do not include any add-on products (like bags or seats), you can still customize your travel
    • This is where the Frontier status match offer would really make a massive difference in your experience.
  • Taxes, fees, and charges apply at the time of booking
  • A fare of $0.01 will be charged for each segment booked
  • Travel qualifies as activity and will extend your FRONTIER Miles expiration
  • Your Annual Pass will automatically renew for successive one-year terms unless you cancel
    • Yikes – magazine subscription set up there.
  • You must be 18 years or older and a resident of the United States to purchase the GoWild! Pass.
  • The pass holder may be under the age of 18 but must be a resident of the United States.
  • Pass holders under the age of 13 must be enrolled by their parent or legal guardian.
  • Children under the age of 15 years old must travel accompanied by a passenger who is at least 15 years old.
  • The GoWild! 2025-26 Annual Pass will be added to your FRONTIER Miles account within 7 business days of your purchase.

I wouldn't call that a small list of blackout dates, but it is spread out over twenty months. When you look at it in that light it does seem less awful. The blackout dates are mainly focused around holidays and other very popular travel times.

Some Grand Canyon Sized Caveats

There is no doubt that the Frontier GoWild flight pass could be really valuable to the right person. That is especially true if you pair it up with the Frontier status match so you can select seats and get a free bag etc. I think someone who is retired, has a really flexible work schedule or is a digital nomad / work from anywhere type of person is perfect for this offer. If I didn't have kids – that would be me. Kids are the new ball and chain! I kid, I kid – pun intended. Even if you are none of those options it could still make sense if you don't mind last minute bookings and travel. If you are okay deciding where to go after seeing which flights are available for the weekend etc., then this could be a good fit.

For everyone else, this is probably a pass. The flight pass does seem like a better deal than it really is because the taxes and fees make up so much of low cost carrier fares at times. It is why their flight interruptions flight credits can be so worthless at times. Especially when you pair up the fact that you can save big money by purchasing their tickets at the airport. All of this means that it could take several flights to get your initial outlay of $300 back. The good thing is you get a much longer timeframe to try to recoup that upfront cost this year. This could also be looked at a way to get similar prices as buying at the airport without having to go to the airport too. You just need to book everything last minute instead!

Miles Make This A Little More Interesting

I will say that having miles and points makes this a bit more enticing. Why? Because we have maximum flexibility in booking because of it. We can use the fact that most airlines have extremely friendly award booking cancellation policies since covid.

I am thinking of something along these lines. You would book your regular flight for your trip on Delta, American, United, Southwest, Alaska etc. and let it sit there. Then the day before your trip you would check Frontier's site to see if any good options present themselves to book with your Frontier GoWild flight pass. If it does, then you cancel your original booking and roll with Frontier. If nothing good, or nothing at all, is showing with Frontier – then you take your flight as normally planned. Miles and points gives us a way to really leverage this program if we want to.

Frontier GoWild Flight Pass: ToP Thoughts

The Frontier GoWild flight pass could be a massive win for the right person. I think that pool gets a little bigger if you consider the opportunity that miles and points flexibility offers us when paired with this deal. Having said all of that, the most important piece of this may be how Frontier's flight coverage is out of your home airport. Do they fly to places that you frequent?
