Delta Rollover MQMs

My buddy Larry reached out to let me know that he is seeing Delta rollover MQMs in his account finally. Late last year Delta made some big changes to their elite status program, and then rolled some of it back after the uproar from loyal members. A part of that was a move to solely focusing on MQDs and removing the MQMs requirement that also came with status earning. The goal was simplicity and tying everything to money / miles spent. With the changes, it meant that this is also the last year that MQMs will rollover for Delta elites. People have been waiting for these to post since the first of the year, and some are finally seeing it in their account.

Update 2/21/24 – Rollover MQMs Now Redeemable For Everyone

Delta has finally gotten their IT team to put this together and you can now decide what you want to do with your rollover MQMs. Go to this link when logged into your Delta account. It should also pop up as a banner at the top of your Skymiles page when logged in. You have until the end of the year to decide, in case you want to wait and see how your MQMs shake out for the year first.

Here are the options I was given when logged into my account:

I will likely select the Skymiles option since I am doubtful I will get close enough to Gold status to make a difference.

Who Is Seeing The Rollover MQMs?

It appears only Delta Medallion Diamond and Delta Medallion Platinum members are seeing the Delta Rollover MQMs. I believe this is only for people that earned Platinum status for 2024 too. I currently have Delta Platinum status from earning it for the 2023 year and I did not see this in my online account. My status drops down to Delta Silver for 2024 on February 1st though, unless I get one of those gift emails, so I am guessing you needed to be reupped to the two higher tiers to get this.

How To Locate Your Delta Rollover MQMs

Here is how Larry was able to access his. This took some hoop jumping and that likely means Delta isn't ready for this to go prime time yet. He was only able to access it when logged in online and not via the Delta app. Here are the steps he took:

  • Go to My SkyMiles
  • Then Account Activity
  • Next select Your Activities
  • Then scroll down to Posted Activity, and then down to the date January 1
  • You should see your Delta Rollover MQMs there

Delta Status: ToP Thoughts

While the rest of our plebs patiently wait on getting access to this, it is nice to see it kind of / sort of rolling out to people. It must mean they are getting close. I want those extra Skymiles in my account for upcoming travel yo! Yes, I am taking the 50% Skymiles because Delta status is a thing of the past for me. Even if you can get mostly useless status (Delta Gold) by paying for four useless credit cards.

Let me know if you find this in your account over in the ToP Facebook Group.
