Delta Airlines Kids Meals

File this under news that I am surprised that hasn't happened sooner, Delta Airlines kids meals are going to be a thing soon. McDonald's built an empire on Happy Meals but airlines have been ignoring our little ones completely. Delta Airline employees were told recently that such offerings would be returning for the smallest of passengers. It should be happening as early as a few weeks from now. It appears this was something offered in the past but discontinued.

When Are Delta Airlines Kids Meals Coming?

The details are that they should be available to order for flights as soon as March 22nd and the rollout is planned for April 1st. They will be listed under the Special Meal (SPML) option when selecting food for your flight. These will be available on international and domestic flights with meal service. Examples of what may be offered include:

  • French toast, scrambled eggs, fruit and a muffin for breakfast
  • Tortellini with marinara, vegetables, fruit and a cookie for lunch and dinner

ToP Thoughts

I am sure the list will expand and change as needed. I am not ashamed to say it, but I would kind of prefer these options myself. Do you think they will put an age limit on it? It isn't like it is a deal like at restaurants, so this guy can hope at least!
