Bilt eXp Realty Partnership
Back in 2024, we outlined a new way to earn Bilt Rewards via the Bilt eXp realty partnership. This partnership isn't discussed often, and most probably don't realize it exists. Even with the introduction of rewards for both rent & mortgage payments with a Bilt credit card in 2026, this interesting method remains available to all Bilt Rewards members. As I always like to be the data point I wish to see, I decided to give this partnership a try. Read along to hear my experience. UPDATE 6/14/26: I share the outcome of my experience with the Bilt eXp realty partnership.
The Partnership in a Nutshell
The Bilt eXp realty partnership rewards Bilt Rewards members who buy a home with an eXp realtor. Essentially, Bilt Rewards earns a referral fee of some variety for referring the Bilt Rewards member to a local eXp realtor. Bilt Rewards then shares this referral fee with you, in the form of 1 Bilt Reward per $2 of the home purchase price. This is a way to rack up potentially hundreds of thousands of Bilt Rewards, which can transfer to almost two dozen airline and hotel transfer partners.
Process For a Bilt Rewards Member
The process for initiating the Bilt eXp realty partnership is fairly straightforward. You can head to the Bilt app or to the Bilt website and go to “my home” and then “buy a home.”
Next, there are options to find a mortgage broker or a local realtor. While this is not financial advice, 1) you will likely do better shopping for mortgage rates independently and, 2) using a specific mortgage lender is not a requirement of this program. As long as you use an eXp realtor, you are good to go. You can either search for a home yourself and then contact a realtor to assist or you can get paired with a realtor before perusing homes. Either way, you are eligible for 1 Bilt Reward per $2 on the closing cost of your home.
My Experience With Bilt eXp Realty Partnership
The Initial Steps (March 2026)
Again, always wanting to be the data point I wish to see, I decided to begin this process to see how it works and I will update this article periodically as the process progresses.
First, I entered my name, email, telephone number, and location where I was home shopping. After submitting my information, a confirmation screen appeared and confirmed I would receive a response within 24 hours.
Second, approximately three (3) hours later, I received an email that a local eXp agent was assigned to me and she would reach out within 24 hours! So far, so good.
However, this is where things get kind of scary. I submitted a request for a realtor in Sevierville, Tennessee. For those unfamiliar, this is in Northeast Tennessee, to the southeast of Knoxville. However, my matched eXp realtor is in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. If those don't sound close together, they're not. In fact, they are over 4 hours and 250 miles apart. I am honestly not even sure what to do about this. I guess we see what the initial phone call entails, but this is not looking promising.
Finding a Property & Closing the Transaction
Since contacting & matching with our eXp realtor in March, we felt comfortable proceeding. We began viewing potential homes for a rental property. Finally, after seeing several houses and having one contract rejected, we reached an agreement to buy a property in April 2026. The next step? Once we were under contract, we requested 1.5 cents per point for all my Bilt Rewards points to use as a down payment. We felt comfortable doing this, since we would earn all these Bilt Rewards back (and then some!).
After many delays, we finally settled on the rental property on Tuesday, June 9, 2026. Once the transaction settled, all we had to do was wait for our Bilt Rewards. We did not have to wait too long, as I received an email on Friday, June 12, 2026 that my Bilt Rewards from the Bilt eXp realty partnership had been added to my account, along with $50 Bilt Cash per 25,000 Bilt Rewards earned. Overall, I am highly impressed with the ease of the process and the speed in which I received my Bilt Rewards. We will definitely go through this process again!
Bilt eXp Realty Partnership: ToP Thoughts
The Bilt eXp realty partnership is fascinating to me. For simply using a designated realtor, you can earn hundreds of thousands of Bilt Rewards. To me, that is a great stash of points. I can use them to offset the recent Hyatt devaluations or during a lucrative Rent Day transfer bonus. Now that the process is over, I am highly impressed with the entire process. Our realtor was fantastic and the Bilt Rewards arrived in my account very quickly. If you're on the fence about this partnership, I say go for it! Go earn hundreds of thousands of Bilt Rewards!
