Bilt Adds Hilton Honors

I wanted to put together a quick announcement that Bilt Rewards has continued its expansion in the transfer partner arena. This time around, Bilt adds Hilton Honors as its newest transfer partner. It isn't the sexiest of options, since Hilton Honors points are worth around a half a cent each, but it is nice to see them continue to expand. We will add this new option to our transfer partner tool as well (be sure to bookmark it).

The partnership will have a transfer rate of 1 to 1. That makes this a bad option, since Bilt Rewards are worth 3x – 4x more than Hilton Honors points. This is also half as good as American Express' rate of 1 to 2, which is still not high enough.

Bilt Points must be transferred in 1,000 point increments. Bilt Rewards Blue members must transfer a minimum of 2,000 Bilt Points and Bilt Rewards Silver, Gold and Platinum members can transfer a minimum of 1,000 Bilt Points.

In a first for Bilt Rewards, all Bilt Members who transfer Bilt Points to Hilton Honors between May 8th and June 8th will receive 1,000 bonus Hilton Honors points on their first transfer. Bilt Members can link their Hilton Honors and Bilt accounts and transfer points on the ‘Travel’ tab in the Bilt Rewards app.

The hope here is that Hilton Honors becomes available for one of those crazy good Rent Day transfer bonus opportunities. Hopefully they get it up to the 3 to 1 or 4 to 1 range to make these a really interesting debate at that time. Until then, file this away in the back of your mind, and don't worry about it as an every day option.
