3,000 Points IHG App Promotion
Sarah was targeted for a 3,000 points IHG app promotion via email. I say it is targeted because I was not able to get the promotion to work for my account. I will share a link below so that you can quickly check your account to see if it is targeted. This is a pretty easy offer for a nice little stash of bonus points on your next IHG Hotels stay.
Offer Details
The 3,000 points IHG app promotion looks to be a way to encourage current IHG members to use the app when making their future bookings. I imagine it is targeted at people that have never done this before, or maybe never had the app at all etc. Here are the details of the offer:
- Register to earn 3,000 bonus points on the next hotel stay you book in the app
- Book in the app and stay within 30 days
- After receiving an invitation, the member must first register their member number in order to be eligible for the Promotion. (Link to check if targeted below)
Offer Terms
Here are some notable terms for the IHG app offer:
- For purposes of this Promotion, a Promotion Eligible Qualifying Stay is defined as a minimum 1-night stay at a participating hotel booked under a Qualifying Rate, with total spend exceeding $30 USD (or local equivalent) per night.
- Participating hotels include all participating IHG® Hotels & Resorts and participating Six Senses properties (as identified on each hotel’s booking page).
- Stays booked using Reward Nights or Points & Cash are not Promotion Eligible Qualifying Stays for purposes of this Offer.
- Stays booked through on-line travel agencies or other reservation sites such as booking.com or expedia.com are not Promotion Eligible Qualifying Stays for purposes of this Promotion.
- This promotional offer can only be redeemed once per member, and a maximum of 3,000 IHG One Rewards bonus points can be achieved.
- The time needed for awarding points can vary with each promotion, so please allow up to 6 weeks for the bonus points to be posted to the recipient’s member account.

3,000 Points IHG App Promotion: ToP Thoughts
This is a pretty decent offer if you had a cash stay upcoming. Limiting the timeframe to 30 days isn't the best, and it may be best to wait a little bit if you have a stay planned with IHG a bit outside of 30 days. If you don't have any plans then I may just check to see if targeted in order to decide if this offer changes any future plans for me. Maybe you have a stay with another hotel that could be moved to IHG with the pot a little sweetened by this offer etc.
