Wyndham Earner Business Cardholder Gift

I love when banks send out unexpected gifts to credit cardholders. It is a nice gesture that is intended to build loyalty, and nothing wins over people's heart more than an unexpected gift. American Express has done this in the past, as has Chase with the Sapphire and Ink cards. It looks like Barclays does not want to be left out and sent out a Wyndham Earner Business cardholder gift to some members. My buddy Patrick was one of the chosen ones and shared what he received from them with me. Keep an eye on your mailbox if you are a cardholder!

Barclays Cardmember Gift Package

Here is a picture of what Patrick got in the mail from Barclays:

Wyndham Earner Business Cardholder Gift

It included the following:

  • Rise snowflake mini waffle maker
  • Maple syrup
  • Waffle mix
  • Wooden spatula

All in all the retail is probably around $30 from what I could of the price of the waffle maker online plus the other stuff. Not to shabby for a sub $100 a year credit card.

Wyndham Earner Business Cardholder Gift: ToP Thoughts

While this Wyndham Earner Business cardholder gift should not be expected by all cardmembers it is a nice unexpected present if you get it. I bet it subconsciously plays a role when that next annual fee hits if you get one too. Whether you want to admit it or not. That is why I wish banks would do more of this. It benefits them in the long run and gives us a nice perk for our loyalty. I think you should get something every 5 years from a card with an annual fee as a thank you. When they are buying this stuff in bulk I bet it costs under $20 all in. Spend a little bit of that marketing budget on retaining current cardholders, it is way cheaper!

Let me know if you got this surprise in the mail for your Wyndham Business card or any other Barclays card in the ToP Facebook Group.
