Personal Experience with this Award Alert Service

Personally, I have subscribed to Straight to the Points since the day it launched. I closely monitor all flight alerts for deals that work for us. Recently, I took advantage of the Aer Lingus award alert pictured above. I followed the email to a “T” and had us booked on round-trip flights to Europe within 30 minutes of receiving the alert email.

For our outbound, we fly Philadelphia (PHL) to Dublin (DUB) and connecting onward to Lyon, France (LYS). We booked this for us both for 120,000 Alaska Airlines miles and $40ish.

For our return flight, I took advantage of a 30% transfer bonus from American Express to British Airways and booked 2 tickets for 92,000 Avios and $500ish. We fly Dublin (DUB) back to Philadelphia (PHL).

So I hopped over to twitter to select seats, since Aer Lingus' website doesn't allow seat selection. It took a few days for a response, but the “throne” seats are now ours!
