Southwest Double Points Promo
Check your flights! There's a new targeted Southwest double points promo that could make it worth rebooking your itineraries to earn some extra miles. (So as long as the pricing still makes sense.) From June 12 through Monday, June 15, earn double Rapid Rewards for travel by Nov. 18, 2026. The multiplier doubles the base fare earning rates, amounting to returns as high as 28X on Choice Extra fares. And it can get even better if you have status or are a cardholder. It's all part of the airline's Week of Wow, which launched with a (now-expired) flight sale and currently includes discounts and bonus points earning on hotels, rental cars and cruises. How To Book: Details of the Promo
Here are the details for booking and earning through the targeted Southwest double points promo:
- Navigate to the promotion landing page.
- Enroll with your Rapid Rewards account number by 6/15/26.
- (If you don't already have an account, register for free here.)
- Book your reservations between 6/12/26 and 6/15/26.
- Travel by 11/18/26 at 11:59 p.m. CT.
- Earn double (2X) Rapid Rewards points. Bonus points will post to your account within 72 hours of completing travel.
Terms of the Promo
Here are the terms of the targeted Southwest double points promo:
- Flights must be booked via Southwest.com, swabiz.com, the mobile app, Global Distribution System (GDS) or Southwest Partner Services (SPS) distribution channels.
- Qualifying flights include one-way and round-trip revenue flights on Southwest Airlines.
- Flights can be paid with USD, Southwest LUV Vouchers, gift cards, flight credits and Cash + Points. However, Cash + Points bookings only earn bonus points on the cash portion of the base fare.
- Reward flights are excluded.
- Charter flights, group travel, nonrevenue travel, Getaways by Southwest packages and Companion Pass flights are also not eligible.
- Must register before booking; travel booked and/or flown prior to promo registration will not qualify for the offer.
- Changes made to the itinerary after purchase may eliminate qualification for promotion.
- Rapid Rewards are calculated using the base fare.
- Bonus points will not apply toward A-List, A-List Preferred or Companion Pass qualification.
- Cannot be combined with any other promo.
What The Earning Looks Like
To calculate potential earnings from the Southwest double points promo, start by looking at the base earnings for your selected fare type, and then double that. Review the differences between the fare types, including the cancellation/flight credit expiration policies of each one, here.

You can juice up these earnings even more if you have status:
- A-List: Earns 25% earning bonus on qualifying flights.
- A-List Preferred: Earns 100% earning bonus on qualifying flights.
An A-List Preferred member booking a Choice Extra fare would earn an additional 14 bonus points per dollar through their 100% earning bonus, for a total of 42X per dollar spent. A $500 Choice Extra fare booked during the promo would earn 14,000 points for any Rapid Rewards member—or 21,000 points for a traveler with A-List Preferred status. Plus, Southwest personal or business credit cardholders who pay with their cards can earn an additional 2X-4X Rapid Rewards for their credit card spend.
Southwest Double Points Promo: ToP Thoughts
Even at the Choice fare level, 12X points per dollar is not too shabby. This is a pretty nice targeted promo for quickly racking up extra points for summer and fall travel. (Naturally, it cuts off right before the busy holiday season kicks in.) If you have cash flights already booked through Southwest or are planning to book some soon, this is a good time to check flight pricing.
