The terms & conditions of the promotion are what really limited this sale. The applicable T&C include:

25% off code is valid on Wanna Get Away and Wanna Get Away Plus fares
valid ONLY for roundtrips
flights must be purchased by 11:59 PT on August 13, 2023
25% off promotion is applied before governmental taxes and fees
valid only for select continental U.S. flights
changes made to reservations will result in forfeiture of the promotional pricing

Southwest Airlines FLY25 Promotion: ToP Thoughts

Any sale is a good thing, but this one is very limited in scope. If you have a roundtrip planned, or are free to travel, for the weekend of August 25-27, 2023, this promotion might make sense. Otherwise, a roundtrip booking in a 3-day window is very limiting. Also, the routes seem very limited. I did find promotional fares on many routes, but it was difficult to piece together a roundtrip itinerary with sale fares on both legs. Does this promotion work for you?
