Sam's Club Southwest Gift Card Sale: ToP Thoughts

Only buy these if you know you will use them soon. There is no reason to give Southwest an interest free loan for a potential flight in the future. It is also best to book some of the flight with a credit card that offers travel protections if you can. A card like the Sapphire Preferred or Sapphire Reserve that will cover it if any portion of the flight is billed to the card.

This could be particularly useful to people with a Companion Pass too.
