The American Express Blue Business Cash™ Card Review
The American Express Blue Business Cash™ Card is the cashback companion to The Blue Business® Plus Credit Card from American Express. While the Amex Blue Business Cash card earns 2% cash back on all eligible purchases up to $50,000 per calendar year, the Amex Blue Business Plus card earns 2x Membership Rewards on all eligible purchases up to $50,000 per calendar year (1x per dollar thereafter). We will look at the welcome offer, earning structure, card perks and share our overall thoughts in this review of the Amex Blue Business Cash.

Blue Biz Cash Earning Rates
The American Express Blue Business Cash™ Card has the following earning rates:
- Earns 2% cash back on all eligible business expenses on up to $50,000 per calendar year.
- It earns 1% cash back on all other eligible business purchases thereafter.
- Amex cash back does not convert into Membership Rewards points and is automatically redeemed as a statement credit.
American Express Application Rules

- Amex has a once per lifetime welcome offer restriction (outside of targeted no lifetime language offers of which this is not one).
- American Express defines once per lifetime loosely and it is in effect 5-7 years.
- This is since you last held the card, NOT when you last earned a welcome offer. So upgrades and downgrades count against you too.
- American Express only allows you to have 5 of their credit cards at one time.
- Cards without a finite limit do not count against this rule and have their own, and separate, 10 card limit.
- Amex has a 2/90 rule, where it will not approve you for more than two Amex cards during a 90-day period.
- American Express may deny you a welcome offer for any reason but will inform you of that before performing your credit with a pop-up window telling you are not eligible for this offer
American Express Blue Business Cash™ Card Review: Card Perks
The Blue Business Cash doesn't come with a ton of card perks, which isn't surprising on a no annual fee cashback card. You can add up to 99 employee cards at no fee which could be useful to some businesses. You will also get up to one year in extended warranty on some purchases with the card.
ToP Analysis
The Amex Blue Business Cash is a strong everyday cash back business card. 2% cash back on every eligible purchase on up to $50,000 per calendar year makes this card comparable to other cash back cards. Although it is possible to get a similar return elsewhere without the $50K cap each year.
With no current welcome offer, now is not the time to open this card. However, some businesses may overlook that for the simplicity of getting 2% cash back everywhere.
The Amex Blue Business Cash card offers limited benefits and perks which will be a downside for some as well.
The American Express Blue Business Cash™ Card Review: ToP Thoughts
The Amex Blue Business Cash a good everyday cash back option. It earns 2% on every purchase on up to $50,000 per calendar year and does not have an annual fee. That will be good enough for many. While we wish the card had a welcome offer attached, we can keep our fingers crossed for one in the future.
