Hyatt Calendar View Search
If you are a World of Hyatt enthusiast, few things about the World of Hyatt frustrate you. Most everyone loves the perks, the cost of award nights, and the status recognition. But one thing has always lagged behind other hotel brands: technology. Until a few years ago, you could not even see a calendar view of the cost of Hyatt award nights. In a major tech update, we now have Hyatt calendar view search functionality and it includes real-time availability. Let's dive in to this update.

Prior to July 2025, Hyatt offered a “Points Calendar.” This calendar showed you what each night on the award calendar cost in a standard room, a standard suite, or a premium suite. This included whether the nights were “off-peak,” “standard” or “peak.” You accessed this “Points Calendar” by clicking through from the main hotel page after conducting a search for a property.

Search with Real-time Availability
In this major tech update, clicking through the “Points Calendar” now allows you to quickly search real-time award availabilty throughout the calendar. The best part of this is this feature works on both the website and the mobile app. Remember: this is no longer just a hypothetical cost of award nights. You can now select the available nights and book them with just a click or two.

Another fantastic feature of this tech update is that you can quickly search the real-time award availability of all types of rooms. There is a toggle feature (shown below) that allows you to seamlessly switch between the room types you want.

Functionality/Reliability of New Feature
At first glance, the new Hyatt calendar view search with real-time availability seems highly accurate. Almost all nights that I attempted to book were actually bookable and returned no errors. I will admit that I did not spend a ton of time on this, searching 10-15 properties and randomly attempting various bookings.
However, not all seems to be “normal.” While highly-desirable properties like Ventana Big Sur returned little availabilty for standard rooms, others returned extremely suspect results.
For example, Andaz Maui shows standard room availability for over 300 of the next 365 nights. Also, Alila Napa Valley allows you to book an 87 night stay in a standard room, which includes Christmas, New Years, MLK Weekend and President's Day. For someone that has stayed at Alila Napa Valley during this time, and spent hours and hours finding award space, I am highly skeptical of these results.
