Hilton More Points to Play Promotion
Hilton has released the details of its fall 2026 promotion, which will run through the end of 2026. The Hilton More Points to Play promotion offers members either 1,000 or 3,000 bonus points per stay, depending on where they stay. As with all promotions, you should register now even if you don't have any Hilton stays planned. It takes a few seconds, there is no downside to registering, and you don't want to miss out on free points because you forgot to register later. Now, let's take a look at the details.
Details of the Promotion
After registering for the Hilton More Points to Play Promotion, Hilton Honors members will earn bonus points as follows:
- For qualifying stays between October 15, 2026, and December 31, 2026.
- 3,000 Hilton Honors Bonus Points per stay at eligible Luxury, Lifestyle and Resort properties (see eligible properties HERE).
- 1,000 Hilton Honors Bonus Points per stay at all other Hilton properties.
- There is no limit to the number of bonus points you can earn during the promotion.

While the 3,000 bonus points language sounds limiting, there are over 1,500 hotels worldwide that are eligible. However, there are almost 10,000 Hilton properties, so less than 20% of hotels count for 3,000 bonus points per stay.
Terms & Conditions
Here are some of the important terms and conditions to be aware of:
- The promotion is valid for stays completed between October 15, 2026, and December 31, 2026.
- Hilton Honors members must register before completing an eligible stay.
- Members checking in before October 15 can still earn the bonus as long as the stay is completed on or after October 15 and no later than December 31.
- There is no limit on the total number of bonus points that can be earned during the promotion.
- Bonus points do not count toward Hilton Honors elite status qualification.
- Bonus points may take six to eight weeks after completing a stay to post.
- A “stay” is defined as the total number of consecutive nights at the same hotel, regardless of whether you check out and check back in.
- The promotion is not valid for groups and cannot be combined with certain other offers.
That definition of a stay is important when looking at the value of this promotion, which we'll get into below.
Short Stays Are The Winner Here
If you're going to maximize this promotion, shorter and cheaper stays are where you'll get the most bang for your buck.
If you have a one-night $150 stay at a Hilton resort, for example, you'll earn your normal Hilton Honors points, any elite bonuses you're entitled to, credit card points and another 3,000 points from this promotion. Getting another $12 to $15 in value (since we value Hilton Honors points at 0.4-0.5 cents each) on a $150 stay is a pretty nice additional return in this instance.
Now, compare that with a five-night resort stay costing $3,000. You'll still receive only 3,000 bonus points because Hilton considers consecutive nights at the same hotel as a single stay. Earning the same $12 to $15 bonus on a $3,000 stay is barely worth mentioning. That doesn't mean you should start hotel hopping simply to earn another 3,000 Hilton points. Checking out of one Hilton and moving to another hotel for $12 to $15 worth of points probably isn't worth the hassle for most people. But if your travel plans already include several short Hilton stays, the bonuses can add up.
Hilton More Points to Play Promotion: ToP Thoughts
Hilton's More Points to Play promotion isn't one of the more exciting promotions we have seen from Hilton. In fact, this continues a run of its mostly-underwhelming promotions. This promo is extremely weak for both expensive and/or multi-night stays. Inexpensive one-night stays are the clear winner. Generally, this promotion is not worth planning around. Consider any bonus points earned as gravy.
