Free Southwest A-List Status For 2023

Southwest may have finished off 2022 in complete disarray but that isn't stopping them from gifting some Rapid Rewards members free Southwest A-List status for 2023. We are not sure how, or why, some are being targeted for this offer but it is worth checking your inbox in case you are one of the lucky chosen ones. The person who sent us the screen shots of their email said they did not fly during the great Southwest melt down of 2022 so it isn't from that.

Free Southwest A-List Status For 2023

The subject of the email is: A-List Status Is All Yours

Surprisingly enough, the gifted status is good for all of 2023 too, expiring December 31, 2023. Southwest A-List status comes with the following perks:

  • Priority boarding for you and everyone on your reservation
  • Priority check in and security lane access
  • 25% bonus earning on qualifying flights
  • Same day changes
  • Same day standby
  • Dedicated member phone line

While I am not a huge Southwest fan I wouldn't mind being gifted A-List status. While I don't think it is as valuable as their competitor's status it does solve my biggest pain point with Southwest. I HATE having to check in for flights while on vacation. The departing flight isn't such a big deal, because I can set an alarm while working etc., but to take a break and remind myself to do it while on vacation drives me crazy. Especially for an early morning flight. Alarms don't belong on vacation!
