Delta Amex Offers

This must be the week of Chase & Amex Offers. First we had a really good Amazon one, then one for Hyatt hotels and now a few different Delta Amex Offers. I am hopeful I have one of these bad boys on my cards, although I normally get passed over on the Delta ones. A proverbial tower buzz flyby, thanks Maverick!

Delta Amex Offers Details

Here is the breakdown of each offer. There are three different variations (HT DDG)

• Get a one-time $150 statement credit by using your enrolled eligible Card to spend a minimum of $500 in one or more eligible round-trip flight purchases online at delta.com by 5/31/2023.
  • Flights must be operated by Delta Air Lines.
    • depart from LAX or SEA airport
    • arrive at HNL, OGG, LIH, or KOA
• Get a one-time $150 statement credit by using your enrolled eligible Card to spend a minimum of $750 in one or more eligible round-trip flight purchases online at delta.com by 5/31/2023.
  • Flights must be operated by Delta Air Lines.
    • depart from JFK or BOS airport
    • arrive at TLV, LHR, CDG, or DUB.
• Get a one-time $120 statement credit by using your enrolled eligible Card to spend a minimum of $600 in one or more eligible round-trip flight purchases online at delta.com by 5/31/2023.
  • Flights must be operated by Delta Air Lines.
    • depart from JFK or BOS airport
    • arrive at TLV, LHR, CDG, or DUB.

Offer Terms

• Offer valid for eligible flight purchases made directly with Delta Air Lines through U.S. website delta.com, via Fly Delta U.S. App and U.S. reservation telephone line.
• Eligible flights must be operated by Delta Air Lines, originate in eligible airports listed in the offer and arriving at one of the airports listed in the offer. This will vary by account.
• Changes made to the flight reservation after initial purchase may disqualify you from the offer.
• Cabin class or fare upgrades must be booked at the time of the initial purchase in order to qualify.
• Eligible flights must be booked as non-stop, round trip (no connections) in order to qualify. Excludes the following: (i) flights partially paid for with gift cards or vouchers, (ii) purchases in-person at the airport where Delta is not the merchant of record, lounges, and sales offices, (iii) all purchases on-board flights including food, beverage, and WiFi, (iv) stand alone hotel bookings and car rentals through delta.com, (v) purchases through third parties or affiliated agents, and (vi) Delta Vacations®, Delta Dive, Delta Cargo, On Demand Charter services, Delta Flight Museum, SkyMiles® Marketplace purchases, SkyMiles Experiences™, SkyMiles Cruises, Delta Meeting Network, (vii) travel insurance/trip protection, gift card purchases, and charitable donations, (viii) Multi-City and one way flights with the same origin/destination requirements.

ToP Thoughts

This is the first time that I can remember the Delta Amex Offers having specified departure and arrival airports. The term that the flights must be non-stop and round trip is another surprising portion of it. No connections at all? Well, until they send you 14 schedule changes prior to your flight at least! Delta must want to push bookings on these routes pretty badly, the only thing that makes sense. If you were flying one of the following anyway, or could find yourself wanting to at least, then getting up to 30% off is a nice discount.

You won't be able buy a Delta gift card like in the past with this Amex Offer. I wonder if you could cancel the booking for Delta credit thought? I know the terms say changes made to the flight reservation could disqualify you, but how will they know? I'd give it a try myself, if I didn't mind getting stuck with a Delta credit I paid full price for.
