Daily Getaways Deals 2024

Daily Getaways Deals have returned for 2024 and kick off next week (tax day no less). I'll give you the details of when the deals are running and share some of the better options with you. This is a way to get some points, gift cards or travel, at a discount. A lot of the best deals go within seconds though.

Update 4/29/24: The Choice Hotels deal kicks off today, which is a pretty good one for people that use the program.

Daily Getaways Deals Details For 2024

The Daily Getaways are running for three weeks this year, instead of the more standard two weeks. The weeks are as follows:

  • April 15-19
  • April 22-26
  • April 29 – May 3

I'll go through the deals for each day and share which ones I think will be best, and worth the effort. Remember that the best deals go quickly, so you may not be able to snag them even if you try.

Week 1 – April 15th Through 19th

Let's take a look at each day's deal for the first week:

  • Monday April 15th – Hilton points on sale at a half a cent each
    • Pass – you can get this deal directly through Hilton often. Unless you have an immediate need where this saves you money on a cash booking.
  • Tuesday April 16th – IHG points on sale at half a cent each
    • Pass – you can buy near this price direct too. Unless you have an immediate need where this saves you money on a cash booking.
  • Wednesday April 17th – Various Las Vegas Travel Packages
    • Pass – these things rarely offer value
  • Thursday April 18th – Universal Packages
    • These could be a good deal depending on your travel dates. Price out your Universal trip and compare versus the package.
  • Friday April 19th – SeaWorld & Busch Garden Packages
    • These are a pretty good deal. If you were planning on visiting the parks, or doing the dolphin swim experience, then I would put this on the calendar.

The first week is mostly a snooze fest. Outside of the SeaWorld & Busch Garden tickets, those are worth chasing after if interested.

Daily Getaways Deals 2024

Week 2 – April 22nd Through 26th

Let's take a look at each day's deal for the second week:

  • Monday April 22nd – More Vegas Packages
    • Another nope from me
  • Tuesday April 23rd – 20% Off Marriott Gift Cards
    • Always one of the most popular deals. If you have cash stays at Marriott hotels then you will want to give this one a shot.
  • Wednesday April 24th – Best Western Points For .55 Cents Each
    • Unless you have a really specific need this is a pass.
  • Thursday April 25th – More Vegas Packages
    • Enough already….
  • Friday April 26th – Now Reno & Vegas Packages
    • I guess I spoke too soon above…

This week is pretty much garbage packages for Vegas. I guess they could make sense if the dates you are looking at going are super expensive, but likely not worth it for most. Buried in the middle of the muck is a really good Marriott gift card sale. If you are a Bonvoy fanboy or fangirl then jump on this. They will go quickly though!

Daily Getaways Deals 2024

Week 3 – April 29th Through May 3rd

Let's take a look at each day's deal for the third week:

  • Monday April 29th – Choice Points For Around A Half A Cent
  • Tuesday April 30th – Buy Hyatt Points At 1.2 Cents & Up
    • While this offers some value I wouldn't pursue it. There are limited packages and they will be gone in a millisecond.
  • Wednesday May 1st – Buy Wyndham Points At 1.16 Cents Each
    • This won't make sense unless you have a really specific redemption.

They should have merged more of the Vegas packages and put this all into two weeks per the norm. This week once again has one deal I would be interested in, the Choice points sale. I feel comfortable enough with the program to buy the points. Hyatt could make sense for some too, but there are only 24 total packages, which is a joke.

Daily Getaways Deals 2024: ToP Thoughts

While this program has seen better days, like most things in the loyalty realm, it still offers a few nuggets of value. That is if you can slay the beast and beat the bots at least. It looks like there is pretty much one good deal each week. You may find some of the other offers more useful than me if you have a specific need. I wonder if they will actually sell all of those Vegas packages.

If there is a deal you are planning on chasing let us know over in the ToP Facebook Group.
