Bilt Cash For Blacklane Rides

Bilt keeps going places. Last week, it announced an expansion of its Blade partnership, allowing Bilt members to use their Bilt Cash for helicopter rides. Today, it is announcing a partnership with Blacklane, a premium chauffeur service with a global reach. The partnership includes the ability to use Bilt points or Bilt Cash for Blacklane rides. This brings yet another way to travel in style via Bilt. Here's how it works and how to use Bilt Cash for Blacklane rides.

About the Bilt + Blacklane Partnership

Blacklane is the latest premium service to join the Bilt ecosystem. Blacklane provides chauffeured transportation in more than 60 countries around the world. You can book Blacklane for airport transfers, city-to-city trips and hourly service. Blacklane rides can be booked through the Bilt Concierge or Bilt Travel Portal. Rides will earn 1X Bilt points, in addition to any rewards earned through an eligible linked card. You can also use Bilt Cash for Blacklane rides.

Using Bilt Cash for Blacklane Rides

Bilt members can redeem Bilt Cash for Blacklane rides by accessing credits available to use on a calendar-year cycle (Jan. 1 to Dec. 31). Credits will reset annually. The maximum amount available will be determined by your Bilt status. (There are plenty of ways to earn Bilt Rewards and elite Bilt status, but the easiest way is spending via a Bilt Credit Card.)

  • Platinum Members: Up to $150 annually
  • Gold Members: Up to $100 annually
  • Silver and Blue Members: Up to $50 annually
How to Book
  • Open the Bilt Concierge or Bilt Travel Portal.
  • Select “Car Service.” Set up the details of your Blacklane journey.
  • Pay at checkout using Bilt points, a linked card, your available Bilt Cash credit or a combination of those options.
  • Eligible journeys automatically earn 1X Bilt points (in addition to any rewards earned through an eligible linked card).

Bilt Cash For Blacklane Rides: ToP Thoughts

Some award travelers may have already tested the Blacklane service thanks to the Citi Strata Elite℠, another card that offers Blacklane credits. Now, the Bilt-Blacklane partnership gives members another way to book the service. Blacklane rides can be expensive, so using Bilt Cash is probably the best way to maximize this partnership and, in turn, get added value from your Bilt Credit Card. While riding Blacklane to the airport might not be quite as cool as taking a Blade helicopter ride, it's yet another way to travel in style thanks to award travel. This might be particularly useful at the end of the year if you have some Bilt Cash that is expiring, since only $100 is allowed to carry over to the following year. Have you taken a Blacklane ride?
