Amazon Amex Membership Rewards Offer
The Amazon pay with points & cash back offers just keep rolling in. First we covered the Citi ThankYou points one, then Discover cash back and now an Amazon Amex Membership Rewards offer. I have a feeling this will be the most popular of them all. While it takes the most points, at 714, it is still a great deal. I do wish it still only required the 1 point the offer used to require in the past. Let's dive into the details.

Offer Details
Amazon customers can get up to 50% off when they use just 714 Membership Rewards points at check. That is if they are targeted at least. Here are some of the different offers people have been targeted for (HT DDG):
- 50% on your next purchase (up to $80 savings)
- 50% on your next purchase (up to $75 savings)
- 40% on your next purchase (up to $60 savings)
- 40% on your next purchase (up to $50 savings)
- $20 off a purchase of $50 or more
- 30% on your next purchase (up to $30 savings)
- 20% on your next purchase (up to $40 savings)
- 20% on your next purchase (up to $20 savings)
- 10% on your next purchase (up to $10 savings)

- You have to have your Amex card set up to pay with points to be eligible. If you don't have that set up already you can do that here.
At the low end of these offers you are only getting 1.4 cents per points (10% off up to $10). That may not be worth pursuing for some, but the high end of these offers tells a different story. If you get the 50% off offer, which tops out at $80, then you would be getting over 11 cents per point.

- This is a limited time offer. The promotion will end on the earlier of (a) 5:00 pm PT on 12/31/2025 or (b) the time at which 46,647 customers have redeemed the offer. The promotion button will expire at the same time as the offer.
- Amazon.com reserves the right to cancel or modify this offer at any time.
- Offer applies only to the purchase where Membership Rewards points are used for at least a portion of the purchase and the promotion code is applied at checkout.
- Offer only applies to products sold by Amazon.com (Look for “sold by Amazon Digital Services LLC” on the product detail page.) Products sold by third-party sellers or other Amazon entities will not qualify for this offer, even if “fulfilled by Amazon.com” or “Prime Eligible”.
- Limit one promotion code per Membership Rewards eligible card.
- Offer may not be combined with other offers.
- Shipping charges may apply to discounted promotional items.

This pay with points Amazon offers used to work on third party gift cards, but that doesn't seem to be the case any more (at least in my experience). You will need to find some eligible items shipped and sold by Amazon that will count instead.
Amazon Amex Membership Rewards Offer: ToP Thoughts
The Membership Rewards offer is the most popular of all of the Amazon pay with points deals. It is a currency most people have in their card lineup, and it seems like they routinely target more people than the other deals. If you don't already have an Amex Membership Rewards earning card set up for pay with points then be sure to do that.
