Hyatt Adding 24 All Inclusive Resort Options

Two separate stories have dropped this week about Hyatt's continued expansion across the globe. This time around they are once again focused on the all inclusive arena, which they may now be the leader in the market for. These two deals have Hyatt adding 24 all inclusive resort options in the coming months. Let's take a look at each new partnership.

Hyatt & Grupo Piñero Strategic Joint Venture

The deal that is doing most of the heavy lifting on Hyatt adding all inclusive resort options into the fold is Hyatt's new partnership with Grupo Piñero. The Grupo Piñero company manages Bahia Principe-branded hotels and resorts and owns the Bahia Principe brand. This includes 22 resorts under the Bahia Principe Hotels & Resorts brand located across the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Jamaica, and Spain, as well as the exclusive Cayo Levantado Resort in the Dominican Republic per the Hyatt press release. The addition will increase the amount of Hyatt all inclusive rooms bookable by members by around 30%.

Here is a breakdown of the resort locations:

DOMINICAN REPUBLIC, SAMANÁ
DOMINICAN REPUBLIC, LA ROMANA
DOMINICAN REPUBLIC, PUNTA CANA
MEXICO, RIVIERA MAYA
JAMAICA, RUNAWAY BAY
TENERIFE, SPAIN
MALLORCA, SPAIN

Hyatt Is Getting A Margaritaville, Kind Of

While the strategic partnership with Grupo Piñero gives us 23 new hotels to scope out and drool over, I did promise you 24 new addresses. This is the one that may be the most interesting to me, because it is currently a Margaritaville hotel. As I said on a recent 20 Minute Travel episode, I have been wanting to check out a Margaritaville hotel for years. It looks like we will be able to book the next best thing with our World of Hyatt points here. Hyatt will be taking over management of the Cap Cana Margaritaville location and turn it into Dreams Cap Cana. Hopefully they leave a lot of the bones, so we can experience some of that Margaritaville feel with our World of Hyatt points.

Hyatt Adding 24 All Inclusive Resort Options: ToP Thoughts

I know that the all inclusive fans out there will likely be pretty happy with Hyatt adding 24 all inclusive resort options. Maybe less so than they would have been a few years back, before World of Hyatt jacked up all of their all inclusive resort award prices. Some of their all inclusive hotels even doubled in price in a little under two years. We will have to wait and see what kind of pricing we see with these 24 new hotels though. Sadly, we don't have a date when they should be online as of yet.
