Delta & Hilton Amex Offer

This Amex Offer is a bit of a weird one. When I first saw some headlines on the topic I thought someone had a typo. Spend money on an airline to get hotel points? That is exactly how this Delta & Hilton Amex Offer works though.

Delta & Hilton Amex Offer: ToP Thoughts

While this is a weird one, it is still a pretty good Amex offer. At least if you were planning on spending money on Delta anyway. The 10,000 points are worth around $45 to me, so that is up to 15% off your flight (if you book one perfectly for $300).

I guess you could always book a flight for right at $300 to earn the points and then cancel it to get a flight credit. You could then use the credit to book a flight you need that is more expensive and put the rest of the cost on a better card.
