Book Virgin Voyages With Points
I bring you great news today, news that Virgin Voyages is bookable with points once again. Being able to book Virgin Voyages with points landed on our shores a year or two ago to much fanfare. Then they set sail to never be seen again, until now! I have heard nothing but glowing reviews about this adults only cruise line, and have been tempted to check it out myself. I figured if you have never been on a ship before, better to do it with one of the best. The prices are a bit higher than last time, but with some transfer bonuses we can chip away at that.

You can find these offers in your Virgin Red account under the spend tag at to ToP of the page once logged in. You can link your Virgin Red account to your Virgin Atlantic account if you haven't already too. The prices vary depending on the itinerary and length of cruise. They also are dependent on how close in the booking is etc.

Here are the options to book Virgin Voyages with points that I saw:
- 7 nights in the Caribbean from San Juan – 245,000 points
- 10 nights in the Caribbean from San Juan – 372,500 points
- 11 nights in the Caribbean from San Juan – 409,750 points
- 4 nights in the Caribbean from Miami – 140,000 points
- 5 nights in the Caribbean from Miami – 186,250 points
- 6 nights in the Caribbean from Miami – 223,500 points
- 8 nights in the Caribbean from Miami – 280,000 points
The bookings are per cabin, so for one or two people. Remember to also include that new 40% transfer bonus into your calculations when deciding whether to book or not. You can divide those numbers by 1.4 to get what it would cost in Membership Rewards when including the transfer bonus. A 4 night cruise for 2 for only 50,000 points per person seems like a good deal. Be sure to check the cash cost for your dates to confirm what kind of value you are getting though.

Discounting The Virgin Voyage Points Price With A Transfer Bonus
I am guessing many people don't have 140,000+ points sitting in their Virgin account. That means you will likely need to transfer points in to book your cruise from one of Virgin's transfer partners. If you took advantage of the Chase to Virgin transfer bonus before it ended a little while ago, then you had some amazing timing. If you didn't speculatively transfer (good job!) then you still have a chance with a new Amex transfer bonus that launched yesterday. Check the details on that offer here.
Those offers will give you 30% – 40% more miles when you transfer over, which in turn lowers the cost of these Virgin Voyages. That would drop the lowest package into the 100,000 point range when factoring in the 40% bonus.
