Trick For WiFi Login

This is going to be a short and sweet post but I figured it was worth highlighting briefly for anyone that has had similar struggles that I have had when traveling. That would be the struggle of not being able to properly log into a new WiFi hotspot when traveling, or just out and about. This could be at the airport, a restaurant, your hotel and everything in between. This trick for WiFi login can save you a massive headache if you are struggling to get everything rolling.

Often when you log on to a new WiFi network it automatically takes you to the location site's page. This is so you can agree to their terms and conditions and hit accept (at least if they have them). Over time this has gotten better and better and a majority of the time I am auto directed to the site with a pop up. If not that I automatically taken there when I open up my browser. There are times, however, when the gremlins in the back eat the wires and you never make it to your destination. This is when extreme frustration used to set in for me.

I would disconnect and reconnect to try to get that prompt to pop up. Sometimes that would work and other times it wouldn't. Trying to surf the web doesn't do it either, at least not most of the time. But, there is one site that pulls it up EVERY SINGLE TIME. That website is CNN.com.

Now I know this isn't the only site that does it and there is a computer / scientific / nerdy reason that this site does it (as do others) but for the life of me I can't remember why. What I can easily remember is to punch in CNN.com and boom, I am instantly redirected to the terms approval page for the company / restaurant / WiFi I am trying to use.

So, if you are ever struggling to get online try this trick for WiFi login. I know it has been a life saver and stress reducer for me over the years. I just had to use it again by the way, and that is what prompted me to finally write about it. Hope it saves some of you out there some time in the future!
