150K Amex Business Gold Offer

Amex taketh and now Amex giveth with this 150K Amex Business Gold offer. I don't think Amex Business and Amex personal are talking to each other much. One seems hell bent on shutting down welcome offers while the other is handing out points like they are near expiration date. I don't get it, but I am here for it! This latest 150K Amex Business Gold offer is insanely generous if you are targeted for it.

Targeted Offer Details

This offer is popping up on people's Amex accounts when they log in. They are also finding it on the right side of their account while logged in, or down in their Amex Offers section. There is no direct link to check if you are targeted like there is with the Blue Business Plus 75K offer.

Here are the terms of the deal:

• Earn 150,000 Membership Rewards® points after you spend $10,000 or more on eligible purchases on your Card within your first 3 months of Card Membership starting from the date your account is approved.
• The $295 annual fee is NOT waived (it will be increasing on your second year though)

Another nice thing with this offer is you get the new $20 monthly credit for GrubHub and office stores etc. at the lower annual fee if you are targeted for this. The 150K points are the same level as the Business Platinum, but for a fraction of the annual fee. The Amex Business Gold card also has less of annoying perks hoops to jump through, although it has some now.

It seems like these are no lifetime language offers too, but be sure to check the terms yourself.

American Express Business Gold Earning Rate

Here are the details on the card's new earning structure:

• Earn 4X Membership Rewards(R) points on the 2 categories where your business spends the most each billing cycle from 6 eligible categories.
  • While your top 2 categories may change, you will earn 4X points on the first $150,000 in combined purchases from these categories each calendar year (then 1X thereafter).
  • Only the top 2 categories each billing cycle will count towards the $150,000 cap.
    • US purchases on the following 6 categories are options:
      • Electronic goods retailers and software & cloud system providers
      • Monthly wireless telephone service charges made directly from a wireless telephone service provider in the U.S.
      • Transit purchases including trains, taxicabs, rideshare services, ferries, tolls, parking, buses, and subways.
      • Online, TV, and radio advertising
      • Gas stations
      • Restaurants (including takeout and delivery)
• Earn 3X Membership Rewards® points on flights and prepaid hotels booked on AmexTravel.com.
• Earn 1x on other purchases.

Flexible Business Credit

Earn up to $20 in statement credits monthly after you use the Business Gold Card for eligible U.S. purchases at FedEx, Grubhub, and Office Supply Stores. This can be an annual savings of up to $240. Enrollment required.

25% Airline Bonus 

When you book air travel via the American Express Travel Portal using MRs, you will receive 25% of those points back. This is valid for any first or business class fare, or economy fare with your chosen airline.  This is valid for up to 250,000 points back per calendar year and is similar to the 35% points back offered on the Amex Business Platinum card.

**The 25% airline bonus is still good through January 21^st, 2024 but will no longer be offered on February 1^st  

$100 Hotel Credits

Get a $100 credit when a cardholder books their stay through the Amex Hotel Collection and stays at least two consecutive nights. The $100 credit applies to qualifying dining, spa, and resort activities.  Additionally, you will receive a room upgrade upon arrival based on availability.

Walmart+ Membership

Get up to $12.95 back in statement credits each month when you pay for a monthly Walmart+ membership (subject to auto-renewal) with your Business Gold Card. $12.95 plus applicable taxes.

Large Purchase Benefits

• An additional year to the original manufacturer’s warranty on purchases with warranties of five years or less.
• Purchase protection on covered purchases for up to 90 days from the purchase date if an item is stolen or accidentally damaged. This coverage is limited to $1,000 per incident, up to $50,000 per calendar year.

Don't walk, run, to grabbing this offer if you see it. That is all assuming you can handle the $10,000 in spend over 3 months. Just be sure to have your mind decided before poking around your American Express account.
