ToP Roundup

In this series I will share articles I found interesting from all over the web. These will be articles about miles, points, travel, finance and everything in-between. Hopefully this ToP Roundup series will give you some interesting tidbits and new information you may have missed during the week. If you see anything out there that you think others may find of interest please feel free to share it with me at Mark@travel-on-points.com.

Hotel Arbez: Where you can sleep in two countries at the same time – CNN Travel

What a cool experience. I have always wanted to go to the four corners spot in the US but this seems even better than that!

Part 2 of my infuriating experience using Singapore miles to book on Alaska metal – Miles Per Day

If you want the full back story here is Vinh's first entry about all of this. Booking with partner can be a soul sucking, head banging experience at times. It offers you a ton of value but it comes with pain points, if it were easy there wouldn't be value in it though. I tend to stick with a few different programs that get the job done time and time again to simplify things for me. I don't mess around in the muck of Turkish's program to book United or Singapore to book Alaska. Sometimes the juice isn't worth the squeeze.

Which Banks Send Out Tax Form 1099? (Discussion Post for 2022 Tax Forms) – Doctor of Credit

A great data base by Chuck on which banks have been sending 1099's so far for bank bonuses and credit card referral offers.

Things Going Away in Vegas, Gamblers Losing Record Money & Las Vegas Kid's Family Destination!?!

The amount of money Vegas is raking in from gambling is mind boggling, especially when you consider they are hitting people on both ends with sky high room rates.
